Reaves looking real bad defensively... Come on dude you can't get blown by that consistently.

he has kobe shot selection, except he's not as good of a shot maker and he's not giving you everything on the defensive end

ESPN must hate the fact they can only squeeze in one commercial every 10 minutes or so. So anti-capitalism.

Reaves has been a top 5 player on Team USA based on the games they've played so far.

As Edwards said, “we don’t have a Kobe on the team”.
This was in response to Kerr asking him to come off the bench like Wade did when Kobe started on Team USA.
Game, blouses.

Doncic with a cool 37/7/6/2/1 in 30 mins.
13/16 fts!!
He changed his ft-routine twice while they played their friendly games ahead of the World Cup. He shot around 55% fts during these games : o

Coach shouldn't be asking, he should command.

US look better when they share the ball.
Not a lot of plays being run and lots of hero one pass shots and charging to the hoop out of control.
NZ are well coached. Way out of the depth athletically but competing well. They’ve improved immensely over the last decade. A bunch of their guys playing in the Australian NBL helps and a few in Europe as well.
Hopefully they hang in there in the second half.

Re: OT : FIBA World Cup 2023 (CANADA storms in, stomps France, SGA dominates)
Good:
- Hali is the best guard/wing on the team, just confirms what I felt before. Just put the ball in his hands and he’ll make everything go. He’s so good AND smart.
-Banchero is a beast. His size, strength, athleticism make him a perfect big.
- Reaves/Bridges/Johnson are very good at what they do. I think they’re used to being role players so know how to make quick decisions and don’t default to a score first mentality.
Bad:
- Edwards shot selection is trash.
-Brunson doesn’t have the size to get a shot off when he drives past his man. Routinely got stuck in no man’s land. He adjusted second quarter though.
-Ingram is a non factor, I think it’s due to Edwards tendency to dominate shots. He might be better off with the bench.

This didn't happen, Edwards already said it was made up.

They do look better, compared to Kirk Penney times, that was basically low end college team with Jimmer of their own

Banchero balling...but Ingram is an utter disaster, I'd like to see Kessler get some reps.

Where do you see that? Here’s the full quote I see:
"I mean, of course I wasn't cool with it," Edwards told Joe Vardon of The Athletic. "If that's what it takes, I mean, I am willing to do it, but nah, I'm never cool with that. … He said Dwyane Wade came off the bench when Kobe played. I was like, all right, we don't have a Kobe, but all right. But it was cool."

Jackson's low IQ could really hurt us at some point. And I'm so down on Ingram. Obviously Kerr isn't going to bench him but I honestly wish he would.

Et tu Dirk?

For team balance, I think Hali's pass first game would be a nice match wiht the starters. Wouldn't downgrade Brunsons minutes.
