Fun while it lasted I guess. I can't see them beating Team USA (and probably some others)

They need to win another small tournament to go to the Olympics. That tournament will be played July 2-7 and there will be 5 teams.

One from Asia.
One from Africa.
One from America (Bahamas).
Two from Europe.

Out of those 5 teams one will play in the Olympics.

Only 12 teams will participate in the Olympics so the level of competition is really high. With Bahamas out of the World Cup that's the only way to go in for them.

Desertfox wrote:Cameroon, Poland, Bahrain, and Croatia, are all very beatable. Bahamas has a legit shot.

This is incorrect.

France qualified as a host.

7 teams will qualify directly from the World Cup: 2 from Europe, 2 from Americas, 1 from Africa, 1 from Asia and 1 from Oceania.

Next summer 24 teams will participate in four tournaments with winners earning the last four berths at the Olympics. Along with the five teams advanced from pre-qualifying tournaments (Bahamas, Cameroon, Poland, Bahrain and Croatia), 19 teams will be selected based on their performance at 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup:

- FIBA Africa – the highest-ranked team from Africa at the World Cup apart from direct qualifiers,
- FIBA Americas – the highest-ranked team from the Americas at the World Cup apart from direct qualifiers,
- FIBA Asia and FIBA Oceania – the highest-ranked team from Asia/Oceania at the World Cup apart from direct qualifiers,
- The next sixteen best-placed teams not directly qualified for the Olympics.

Interesting how the Ayton haters follow his instagram or twitter and analyze his every tweet looking for clues into his psyche.

Please get some help.
I actually saw this on Reddit, I’d never waste my time following DA or anyone on Twitter for that matter. Also I put this here because people are still in denial about adolescent ayton and his feelers. It’s ok if you don’t want to talk about DA, but if y’all gaslight us for 3 pages saying “he’s not insecure it’s all in your head” of course I’m going to show up with proof. And it took like a week to come out

Dude, KD has written stuff like this all the time, saying he likes to prove his haters wrong, and gets more childish trying to argue with random haters on twitter, and all those calling him a cupcake, choker, only wins joining stacked teams, the first who already won a championship and had the best record, where he won his only ones.

If anyone on our team has had to be coddled and has a fragile mentality, it is KD.

That tweet actually sounds exactly like numerous KD tweets. 95% of people who saw that tweet (or instagram post) not knowing who it was in the entire NBA, would probably think it was KD.

Yes, he’s Jesus to all the people on this site.
no - actually I think the joke went over his head and he +1 it because he thought qwigglez was being serious about Ayton not dribbling when it was clear you were using the phrase as a metaphor for “stfu and play”. Or maybe Qwigglez took it literally that you wanted Ayton to dribble and he’s the dummy. I got a lot of angles here boys and I’m not even high.

No, I knew what Qwigglez, was doing, making a sarcastic response, while it also is true. I thought it was funny, Qwigglez pretending he didn't get the reference with a serious sounding yet sarcastic post. I've been here a while and understand the various sense of humors. Sounds like things are going over your head, making a dumb assumption.

I will say I have kind of lost track of SunsRBack4Good's true feelings, because for a while, 99% of his posts were sarcastic or facetious, and now he is bashing Ayton on what he said, when a few weeks ago he was posting stuff like this:

I wanna go easy on him because it's good to get Olympic experience and rep your homeland.

BUT - Deandre hasn't done sh- yet. It was a freakin' pre-qualifier. That social media post of his is just another example of where he's at mentally i.e. yet to fully mature.

Speaking common sense is now regarded as being labeled a “hater”. Get a hold of yourself and learn to read between the lines. Ayton is a weak minded person who continues to not only hurt himself, but the entire team in general when he opens his mouth through the media on twitter, Tik tok or whatever site these kids use now a days. Dude should have been traded a long time ago so we can rebuild our team better for a playoff run.

Actually a Hater is someone who is always talking negative on someone, and one that even follows them on IG. LOL like dude you are an adult. Why are you following someone you dont like? Grow up

How does this debate around athletes like Ayton expressing themselves on social media reflect changing perceptions of sportsmanship? There are some who argue that it's better to just let their game go and let the talking do the talking, while others may see it as a way to connect. What's your stance on this issue? Please share your thoughts.

Its a reflection of the narcissistic society we live in. Some are good at cryptic and clever comments… some arent. Ayton really hasnt been artful with handling his own PR.

It really doesnt matter which side of the fence you’re on… this social experiment of a connected society is on going. Ignorance may truly be bliss.

Japan won but Watanabe seems to have played poorly. Not sure how many minutes though.

Hope his injury heals fully.

Not too concerned about our 10th/11th man…. He like Bol, are little more than novelty acts.

Diop-Bates is much better and should garner most of the back up forward minutes

He played but he was moving like game 7 Willis reed out there, he was so hobbled you'd give him a disabled parking permit if you saw him walking on the street like that.

He clearly loves his country and there would be a lot of pressure for him to perform, otherwise there's no way he would be anywhere near a court yesterday.

Obviously not good for the Suns, the injury looks serious and he's playing through it aftereffects be damned.

Don't forget that time KD was caught tweeting from a burner account.

I don't think anyone can top KD as a social media drama queen, I personally don't follow celebrity twitter at all but find it funny when people try to decipher hidden meanings in tweets.

You're right.

DA is the guy behind the guy behind the guy. His commentary is so deep and esoteric - scholars will be studying it for centuries to better understand what a man who once referred to himself as a Tesla battery really means.

KD is one of the greatest players to ever play in the NBA. I can care less what he does off the court. He deserves his respect and should be able to do what he wants. He’s earned that. No one has EVER questioned his work ethic or desire to win. Guys look up to him.

KD's burner account saga and having little twitter beefs is pretty childish and dumb for someone of his stature. But it takes literally nothing away from what he does on the court. I know what I'm getting from him from night to night, I don't have to question his effort and I don't have to question his mindset. Dude has consistently been a top 5-10 player throughout his 15 yr career.

I would like to back track on my DA social media position. Dudes flat ironing his porn star girlfriends hair on IG? No good comes of that - give you two guesses on who's calling the shots now for DominAyton.

I came on here today to see if anyone had commented on it yet. Bruh this dude is in his own little world.

Btw I was once told on here that he's a super serious family man enough to the point he doesn't have spare time to attempt to form some chemistry in the offseason with his teammates. Apparently he's got time to be out there running with a sex worker though.

It won't be long before this train completely derails.
