If they lose this one, then they will need to beat Serbia to have a chance to proceed to 1/4 finals (if they do beat Phillipines to get to the 2nd round...)

Embarrassing three Qs from Italy. Can they salvage at least one good Q?

That's what I was thinking, Dominicans will top the group, nothing special about Italian team, some got fooled by scrimmage end results.

Just great now we get a pissed off Italy on Tuesday in what will be a must win for both squads. Still reeling from that DOM loss, that was our best chance to advance from a World Cup group stage history. Sigh.

Maybe the Italians are bad and/or want to go home already. Maybe send them escort service this next two nights so they play as bad on Tuesday.

Bit of a messy ending of the 3rd Q by Australia with some missed bunnies but did well to come from behind, get ahead, and stay ahead. Now to build that lead...

The last two sequences by SGA looked like he was playing against middle schoolers. My goodness

Italy looked great in the exhibition games but they were also getting contributions from the younger guys who are still kind of unplayable when the real games start.

That said, I don't think this loss shows that Italy doesn't want to play or anything. DR played a nice game overall. They got 24 points from Feliz on 7 for 10 from deep, 24 and 11 from KAT in what ended up being a nice shooting night overall. And then Montero added 12 pts and 9 assists off the bench.

Hard to beat when they play like that. PHI just has to keep the turnovers low. If Clarkson avoids those silly offensive fouls, that already helps a lot.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

I mean, if you call a couple of minutes aging, sure ... Lots of game left to play but yeah Aussies once again started poorly and lost momentum. Need juice.

Has a team missed more layups than Australia so far?

Giddey inefficiency and inconsistency is costly. Can't be all on Patty.

Canada doing to Lebanon what they did to France. I feel as though CAN will be the most rested team cause of how evenly they can distribute minutes
