How would you rank them from 1-3 for this 3 year stretch?

In terms of how good they were as players I would put KG > Nash > Dirk. Dirk really made big strides following 2006 and 2007 off-season to become the player he eventually peaked at from 2008-2011. KG and Nash were already in their final forms by 2005-2007.

So I'd point to two different evaluations:

Best at basketball:

1. KG
2. Nash
3. Dirk

Most accomplished within this duration:

1. Nash
2. Dirk
3. KG

KG is hard to evaluate. Both team results and impact signals seem inconsistent/volatile and decoupled.
He's still the best player in '05, while Nash and Dirk overtake him in 06 and 07 imo.
I'm also giving a look to the Retro POY project by the way.

all three inferior to TD in this 3 year interval though while Lebron is emerging strongly but still not refined enough.

He had a down year in 2006 sort of recovering and all that. His 2007 and 2005 (when healthy) are underrated years, where I’d regard him as best in the world both cases. Ik you’re big into “impaact” - where he looks good there. 05 Spurs win pace with Timmy was obscene iirc

No clue about SOS adjustments, but 50-16 with a +10.9 Net-rating in games Big Fundamental suited up. 16.73/100 with Duncan on-court :o

Only 9-7 (-.82/100 in these games) when Duncan did not play.

Just checked PBPStats, which is where I’m getting this from.

I would go Nash > KG > Dirk
