Is it tho? Philosophically Stotts seems pretty similar to Bud and isn't known for adjusting his schemes come playoff time either, only hope is that Giannis gets utilized as a roll man more often but we lack talent at the guard big time.

This actually isn't true. Stotts teams were always among the highest in 3 pt attempts and among the lowest in assists. Stotts ran a very Bud like offense

Stotts did run a pretty similar style to Bud. I think the real change will have to come from molding Stotts's philosophies with Griffins. Guys will probably still have some freedom to do whatever on offense, but I think you'll see fewer early shot clock 3s and a bit more off-ball movement.

Our playoff offense won’t change too much with scheme, we need personnel change. Do people really think that nba coaches are stupid and don’t know about off ball movement and pin down screens or something?

https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/11gcmap/highlight_steve_clifford_gives_an_insightful/

Offenses are similar and simple league wide because players are just better than they’ve ever been. We need that 3rd guy who can score from different spots and handle the ball against good defenses. Is that possible with our assets? Idk, but I know our offense is probably still going to suck if we don’t make a move and no scheme is going to change that. It was never about the scheme, like our playoff failures were never about our defense.

I don't think we have 20, do we?

I'll throw in my very basic guess for the 2 ways, which is that we cut Wiggs and convert Gort and Timme.

Maybe it was the players with the ball going away from it and not Bud? I don't have any stats but seem to remember we very often did this coming out of timeouts.

But with 15 gtd contracts we could only sign a guy to a camp contract right? Definitely need to keep Gort

We could sign somebody to a guaranteed deal technically, it's just unlikely because it'd mean we'd have to unload a guaranteed deal either by trade or cut by the first day of the season.

I wonder how real this is, and wonder if we had to promise Thanasis atleast a chance to earn real minutes

The lack of self-awareness is funny. Is it just me or do the Antetokounmpo brothers seem to be getting a bit of an annoying ego? *Ducks*

The only way I see a TA going to the Knicks thing making sense is if they were going to offer him a multi-year contract where it would create the slightest leverage in possible trade negotiations with Giannis a year later. No way in hell the Knicks offer him more then the min on a 1-year contract based on his basketball ability. And if it was 1 year min, why go to the Knicks over the Bucks?

Thanny with some Jake Voskuhl-level delusion there. If he thinks the Knickerbockers were signing him for anything else than back channel tampering with Giannis, I got some bridges to sell him.

I guess I fail to see what's delusional about saying you always want an opportunity to play and be valued. What exactly do any of you expect any pro athlete to say there?

Bud played Thanasis way more than I thought he should throughout his tenure. Thanasis has the right to feel this way, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t absolutely crazy. If he wouldn’t sabotage the team every second he’s on the court, he would play.
