I still have no idea what "micro transactions" are.

I play MyLeague, so "micro transactions" must be something that occurs in one of the other modes.

Anyway I'm more excited now than I've ever been, because I'm going to be playing each Bulls game on the same day as the real life Bulls!

And also it looks certain that I'll have Wembanyama in my team, because his rating is only 84, and that places him at 64th in the NBA.

So I'll pick Michael Jordan with my first round pick, and after the other 29 teams have done their picks I'm certain Wembanyama will still be on the board and I'll get him with my 2nd round pick.

And I'll pick my favorite player Brandon Miller with my 3rd pick, because his rating is only 78 so he should still be on the board in round 3.

Scoot Henderson's rating is also 78, and not sure if he'll still be on the board for my 4th pick....

2k20 is unplayable because it doesn't have Brandon Miller, Scoot Henderson or Victor Wembanyama....

Yes! And I’ll pay at the counter and by “pay at the counter” I will buy it on PSN or XBL when the price drops down to about $40

I wish they'd move to a live subscription-based service. Charge something like $50 for the online services and $10 for roster/draft class updates for the offline features. That way, they can pour their money and efforts into creating an actual 'new' game every 4-5 years.

Might as well sign an agreement with your partner/wife when it comes to rule of engagement when you're playing. I'm happy for you and I know it means a lot. Hope you win your 1st NBA title soon with your team.

The last 2k I played was 2K20, I've been 2K sober since. So no, I won't be buying it.

still old gen on PC which is a shame as we are likely halfway through the current console generation of xbox series s/x and PS5...

I will not buy it but likely will get it gifted as a favor for a colleague of my online league... I was seriously considering retiring from my online league where I am a member since 2011.

Thanks, I've won the NBA title but never completed a regular season and will do that this time.
I would usually reply to your partner/wife comment, but I'm not allowed to bring up my personal life on The General Board, I was told today.
Won't affect me though, because 99% of my posts are about the NBA.

I'm going to keep playing on the ps4 until ps6 arrives, because it'll be fun to jump to such a hugely superior console.
So I'll skip ps5.

Or turn all the fouls off, so no free-throws, or actually I keep the intentional fouls (because might need it in the final minute) but turn-off all the other fouls.
Good challenge too, because scoring on drives to the basket is harder with all the violence allowed, so you are forced to execute better to create space.

You see, I play that terrible game for simulation and "realism". I try so hard to tweak a game so my stats are adequate to be the rest of the league, so no, I am not turning off fouls...
Also, it is not a good challenge, since I got so good against ai, I give it so much advantage on sliders, especially fouls, human fouling is up to 100 almost everywhere, so I need to think before any contest and reach. That's far more challenging.

2k19 has the most unique gameplay I've ever seen, at least defensively, because when you go for steals it makes the ball go loose and bounce/roll along the floor before you grab it, whereas the other 2k games have steals that go right into your hands mostly.
That's why it was so fun to play 2k19 with Zion especially, because there were a lot of fastbreaks because sometimes when you knocked the ball loose it rolled up the court quickly.
I've joked that they may have made 2k19 for Zion, because it was his first year in a game, and it gave him lots of dunk opportunities.

They focus so much on Myplayer now. Miss the days where they actually focused on the actual game and made online play fun.
