General Game Pass curiosity - how does this work for if you stop subscribing? It's $32 lost, right? I've never found "official" info on this - suspiciously. I wondered the same thing for Forza Horizon last year.

You would lose out on having Starfield in your inventory. But if you bought it down the road or signed back up the expansion would still be in your library. So would the skins you get with the premium edition.

I said screw it and bought the premium edition on Steam. I had a $100 GC so why not. Going to take off on Friday and just sit and game all day. Get to play Friday and comes with Shattered Space expansion, Constellation Skin Pack & Access to the artbook and soundtrack. Nothing special, but I dig the 5 days early.

I feel like I still know nothing about Starfield so I'm excited to finally hear some actual impressions soon when j and whoever else jumps in.

Sea of Stars is getting solid 7-9 reviews. Look forward to picking it up someday.

I've got a backlog but I know me and I'm sure I'll drop the $30 on Friday and get the premium version.

It's wild to check out Youtube to find tips on AC, and find out everyone is farming the wrong mission.

Yeah I think I am going to buy the 35 dollar upgrade on xbox for the game pass edition. I didnt wanna drop for the full pre order version but 35 seems like a safe bet and if its good ill play it alot over the long weekend.

Mimimi Games, the developer behind a Shadow Tactics and Desperados 3, is closing. Their most recent game, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, reviewed out well but launched in the shadow of BG3 and AC6. Real bummer, they made very good games in a very niche genre of stealthy real-time tactics.

That's a bummer. I've got Shadow Gambit installed but haven't played it yet.

****, that sucks. I quite liked Shadow Tactics, and loved how they were continuing to refine their style. Looking forward to playing Shadow Gambit still, but hate to hear they're shutting down.

This is good to hear:
Mimimi will no longer create any new games, but will continue to fully support Shadow Gambit. The studio has already been working on a patch for all platforms and will release more content for the game later this year. Thankfully, Shadow Gambit’s successful launch has allowed Mimimi to pay bonuses to employees while they transition out.

A BG3 bug has my entire party perma-silenced and not in a spell casting way. However it was casting silence that triggered it. As a shadowmonk, silence is kind of my thing and now I have to be hyper vigilant every time I cast it? I lost hours of gameplay.

I love a good 16 bit RPG, so Sea of Stars is on my radar. Jason Schreier had a big Twitter thread about problems with the English script, but he mostly got into the weeds about his particular issues with comma splices, and ultimately just ended up conveying how Jason Schreier he is (which he's prone to). I noticed the splices, and I a clumsy script is a ding, but man, the examples he posted were pretty minor.

He must have deleted this. I can't find anything about it.

Clumsy scripts can be fixed post release with patches, and many RPG companies do that anyways. If the worst thing to be said about an RPG is that the script needs a bit of polish, I'm so down!

I’m on my phone can post later, but the worlds look totally Barron. Typical fallout style shooting and just looks boring imo

Honestly seems like people are looking for literally any small reason to hate Starfield. "Boundary Reached", not landing on gas planets, etc. don't bother me at all.
