I know he's putting up some big numbers in FIBA. And his stats overseas are interesting:

17 PPG each of the past 2 yrs
Solid steal %, blocks % and assist %

On the downside, he has struggled with his shooting. 25% from 3 on just 1.5 attempts per game this past season and 22% from 3 on just 1.6 attempts per game in 21-22 season. Really bad numbers for a guy who should be fully developed at this point (age 28). TS% has been below average these past 2 seasons as well.

If I'm bringing over a guy who washed out of the league and has been overseas for the past 2 years and he's only 6'6", he should be able to shoot better than that.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone at least gave him a camp invite though..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

My shot at categorizing them...

Clear rotation player deserving of minutes:
Terrance Davis
Lamar Stevens
Tj warren?

Cooked / semi cooked veterans only worthy of spot minutes / injury insurance:
Blake griffin
Austin rivers
John wall
Tj warren?

Fringe nba players who are what they are:
Svi
Big dog 3
Alize

Fringe player with upside:
Louis King

I hope we get one guy from the first category then either Griffin or King.

From first category, Stevens first, then Davis or Warren. Garuba is not listed, but he would be top of the list. Adding Garuba, Stevens, and Steward is a nice compliment for the team's positional needs. Some depth at second/third string. Not sure if Garuba and Stevens would be happy with the minutes. Probably not.

Louis King is intriguing. He may be the dark horse candidate. A guy on the verge of his higher potential at 24 years old. He has some size, really smooth. 3pt shot reminds me of Haliburton: looks weird, but to tends find the target at a reasonable clip. I only see a few videos from NBA games; most are G-League/ summer league, so its hard to evaluate him.

I didn't list Garuba because I only listed guys who the Celtics have shown interest in this offseason, according to reports.

I haven't seen any reports or even rumors that indicate we have any interest in him. You never know, though. Brad sometimes will make a move that came out of left field..

:o Giannis and Wemby? Could surround those two with 3 shooters on the floor and let them go to work. How do you stop that?

I mean, assuming Wembanyama is not in the trade and develops into what many believe his ceiling to be.

Let me start the rumor then.

USMAN GARUBA TO THE CELTICS!

He looks like one of those guys that will be picked up by a rival and suddenly "get it" whenever they play the Celtics.

B. Robb on Blake...

The Celtics have held a number of free agent workouts in recent weeks including forwards TJ Warren, Lamar Stevens and Louis King. However, with the injury history of Porzingis and Robert Williams, it would not be a surprise to see the team add a little more depth to the frontcourt. Based on how Stevens spoke about him Tuesday, Griffin sounds like a strong candidate for one of the team’s final spots.

I would imagine the only hold up with Blake is whether he wants to run it back and chase a ring in Boston, or do a deal closer to his kids in LA. Perhaps Boston/Blake's reps have a deadline we don't know about for a decision to be made. That's my guess. It's already out in the open that Blake likes Boston, and Boston likes Blake. Mutual interest in a deal.

Stevens' failure to go after Usman Garuba is malpractice.

That’s why he’s already signed by another team.

lol

It's been 9 days since he got waived and there's been no rumors about any of the 30 teams in the league going after him.

The only teams rumored to have any interest are in Europe.

He's been traded 2x and waived once in the same offseason. Been in the league for 2 years and struggled to crack the rotation for the worst team in the league.

He showed some impressive perimeter defense when he was healthy early in his career which had me thinking he could maybe be an Avery Bradley/Tony Allen type of guy. But he just couldn't stay healthy, the offense wasn't good enough and we were at a point where we were trying to win a title and needed more win-now players and less young projects who needed to be developed..

Also, maybe he just has a laid back demeanor/personality, but often times it seemed like he just didn't really care that much, like didn't bring a lot of intensity or motor..
