I'd prefer not seeing a dead person every time I enter the game....

I don't want Kobe Bryant on my 2k24 cover/artwork, but Amazon is only selling the Kobe Bryant version.
If I can find the non-Kobe version on a trusted online shop with similar price to Amazon, I'll cancel my amazon order.

EDIT: why is it that every online shop is only selling the Kobe version? I see no other version available, but I heard Jokic, Curry, Tatum are on covers too....

Weird take, but why not just buy the digital version online of Sabrina Lonescu or disk version in stores.

These games are just about as realistic as you can get.

Pretty soon people are going to expect real life graphics for these games.lol

It’s definitely possible to have much more realistic animations. Just look at this. A lot of people were expecting something like this with proplay.

That looks dope.

Honestly im not interested in NBA games anymore. Im hoping that we get a college basketball game though. That's when my excitement goes through the roof!

Can you imagine a my career coming out of high school working your way up to the #1 recruit in the Nation having teams like Duke/UNC/Kansas/Kentucky offering you crazy NL money. Somebody needs to make this college basketball game happen.

Will you make it with ps4? I've only got ps4.

Is cross play not an option?

it is but if you have next gen you can not play cross play with someone who's on old gen.

Let's say this is possible for a video game, the expectation for next year's 2k25 for example would be through the roof, if you have a pretty good tv that supports upto 4k your graphics are already top notch, though of course no one has ever minded improved graphics ( myself included ).

yeah man with next gen systems out there its def possible for animations to be as good as that. there's even a game called unrecord and it literally looks like real life. its insane.

in nba 2k22 you had the option of either going to college or the g league before getting drafted. that's the closest we'll get lol

dont get me wrong, the graphics and animations in 2k24 are pretty good. but it's disappointing when they say stuff like this and the improvements from last year to this year aren't that big.
The next generation of groundbreaking realism and authenticity arrives in NBA 2K24 on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles via ProPLAY™* technology.

Check out the latest from NBA 2K’s Gameplay Director, Mike Wang to get a glimpse of what’s to come….

Each year, NBA 2K takes a step forward in delivering first-class results using motion capture, but ProPLAY propels the franchise even further with cutting-edge technology to directly translate movements from real NBA games into NBA 2K24 gameplay, marking a historic achievement in sports gaming.

We’ve directed athletes for 20 years on how to recreate their signature moves with mocap, but now we can provide the truest forms of contested step backs, acrobatic layups, and more by translating actual NBA footage.

Amazing how far technology has come. These games are now starting to look like real life.

Is that game any good?

It's absurd how they can put out a broken game most years and people will still buy it because they have no competition. The latest gen consoles and beefy gaming PCs shouldn't be experiencing input lag at all.

Little hard to make that judgement when we are not sure if this will work as well as advertised.

I want to say no because the franchise has become a shell of what it was 10 years ago, MyCareer is a mess, and they dont even have GM mode anymore....

But odds are I will end up buying the game around All-Star break when the price takes a massive dip. Under no circumstances would I ever consider paying $70 for it.

I bought 2019, it was horrible, then I bought 2022 still horrible. So I guess I pass for the next few years.

Oh dear, I don’t think people have the understanding of how hard it is to keep improving games whilst keep making profit.

Is there game better then last year? I would like to say so, but I won’t exactly know until next week when the game out officially.

Could they make the graphics as good as under cover or virtual basketball? Possibly but what do you do next year then, when you cannot possible ante up the graphics any longer, the point I’m trying to make is if you advance everything all at once, there’s not enough time to improve on things within that one year time-frame. Because you do not have the technology to do improve on things you just put out, all company’s would lose interest and money if that mindset took place.

I can certainly understand why some people might be hesitant to buy games especially 2k, that’s why it’s a good thing prices drop and there’s platforms like YouTube and twitch where you can watch people play these games and then decide for yourself if you would like to make a purchase of the game.

Purpose?, well unless you’re not entertained by things on a screen then yes a tv properly doesn’t serve much of a purpose to you or people who decide to live that type of life style. The system with the latest upgrades are PS5 & Xbox series x.
