100% and Lmao at people thinking these euro bigs would eat Bam up like dude isn’t coming fresh off a gold medal. Kerr stressed the importance of trying to find someone to fill the role of Bam on this team, so far it hasn’t come close.

True basketball minds understand

Kerr could try something novel like coaching the guys he's got instead of trying to turn guys into players they aren't. Maybe he should step aside and let Spo handle this because I'm not sure that Kerr knows how to win when he doesn't have the dominant team.

Some on the ORL board think MIA would not deal with their in-state rival, under any circumstances...I contend that Riley and the MIA culture fears noone, respects noone and would trade with anyone to get what they need to win a ring NOW...what do you MIA fans think about my undying admiration for Riley's/MIA fearless attitude? Am I onto something or not?

Sorry for saying the truth but you have to win against a certain matchup back and forth to form a "rivalry"

The Bucks, Mavs, and Celtics are the only teams I consider Heat's rivals.

So to answer your question, no it won't affect if we are in the same state, Don't think Pat cares at all.

Losing both Shaq and Howard in their prime was brutal. I'm sure Shaq doesn't regret it, but Howard should. His career went in the toilet when he left that team the Magic had built around him. And then Kobe broke him.

Thank you for the history lesson…do you think MIA would be reluctant to trade in-division, in state? I don’t think they would care at all- if it got them Dame.

I can't speak for anyone here, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone talk badly about ORL in all my years here. And as long as Danny Ainge isn't running your FO we would not mind trading with you guys. Riley would definitely trade with anyone to get the deal done except for Ainge or Cuban.

Honestly, ORL hasn't earned that degree of "rival" YET...I think MIA only thinks of MIA winning rings-ORL, even with Herro, isn't an immediate threat, IMO...but give us a few years :D

There's no need to play the little brother role. You guys got to the Finals and the Conference Finals before we ever got out of the 1st round. We got lucky and landed Pat Riley and that turned our franchise around. Fans focus on the players, but having strong ownership and a top notch executive means everything for sustained success in the NBA.

As far as your plan goes, I'm sure Pat would make that trade with the Magic if it would satisfy Portland. But at this point no one is sure what would satisfy Portland.

Honestly Pat would trade with the devil if he thought it would win him another championship.

You gotta admit ESPN makes it very difficult for HEAT fans not to. Kinda akin to how Disney movies (intentional or not) make it difficult for conservative/the religious right not to blow a gasket.

Not sure why anyone would take that ranking serious other than faux outrage. Wade ranking aside, there aren’t 9 better basketball players than Kobe.

Jeez they keep moving Shaq further down the list every year. Guy was an absolute force in his prime/era. The people making these lists must be modern game enthusiasts

Actually, there very well might be 9 better players than Kobe.

Also, Wade is in the top 30, who care about his placement? He's not in the top 20 either way so who cares?

He's no higher than 25 to be fair.
