Oh well, thanks for the spread cover Latvia and thanks for a great tournament. Will be cheering for Zagars/Latvia in the OQT, they should have the same lineup i presume.

Latvia was right there. Better coaching for Germany (leaving Schroder on the bench in the 4th) would have led to a somewhat comfortable win, but that's all part of the equation. I wouldn't say Latvia overachieved this tournament, but they definitely got everything out of their guys. Much respect.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.
