I personally think tht deal is done if we offered a 1st to go with allen n pattyC

And I'm guessing Utah would prefer to have Bobby in place of Grayson....along with that first

Grayson and Pat actually make more sense for the Utah roster than Bobby does, also Grayson in an expiring.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

This board hasn't seen this amount of offseason discussion dedicated to a player as mediocre as Collin Sexton since, what? The great Jeremy Lamb summer of 2015? (or was it 2014?)

We really need some Chris Livingston workout hype videos STAT.

Hoping Livingston turns into the greatest SG the Bucks have ever had.

Appreciate that interview. Good stuff in the dozen or so minutes I watched. You can definitely see Paul thinking two and three steps ahead. I didn't see much with Livingston to make me believe he's an NBA player, but he's got youth on his side and given the Bucks have him cheap for three years makes me think they will be patient with him.

Anyone on this board think that beasley will start at the SG spot even if allen isnt traded.Just have this feeling they think beasley brings more to the table starting than allen

I think it's probably an open competition, particularly with a new coach without prior allegiances.

Beasley should start imo, but I think the only arguement against it would be having him off the bench could be more impactful

That's my thought. The starting unit has enough scoring and Grayson is fine as a low volume catch and shoot guy.

Beasley is better suited to be a high volume flame thrower when Khris and Giannis are on the bench.

If Beasley is starting, this team has gone down a dark path.

I dont think it matters who starts between Beasley and Grayson. Beasley scores more on higher usage but less efficiency and is a slightly worse defender. I think if you dial his usage down to Grayson’s level you would get a similar scoring output. Basically Beasley scores more points against bad teams and chucks against good teams. I think its a wash if they are given the same role. I think you start Beasley and if he hits a hot streak you feed him but if he’s cold and not giving effort on the defensive end you give him a quick hook.

In general I'd guess they end up playing roughly the same amount of minutes regardless of who starts, so essentially much ado about nothing. So then it comes down to matchups and who's skills better suit different lineups. I'd generally fall on the Allan seems to fit better with the big 3 since he's so low usage, not much need for ball in his hands.

From that Pat data above. I'd be curious if one way or another skews those numbers or is more drastic if you compare those 4 with a traditional big like a Lopez or if that lineup has been used more smallball with Gianins at 5.

I think I filed the Beasley signing away as a cheap dude who was going to fill the Grayson role off the bench or whatever. Seems Allen is still on the team tho, guess he's a January salary matcher.

I'm happy to just leave it for the playoffs.

Like Pachinko I know we are going to win enough games through the season, I just hope we are healthy at playoff time and I want that pat to start now.

Rich Paul: Bucks Booster.

Interesting.

5:15: position these guys where you have growth opportunity. As I’m looking at the situation with the Bucks, I'm looking at a kid [Chris Livingston] 6’7, 220, knows how to play in terms of talent needs to learn how to play in terms of NBA, you need time. If you look at the ownership group, Jimmy Haslem new owner, Wes Edens they’re not going anywhere. Front office, Jon Horst, championship front office. Their vets, Jrue, Giannis, and Khris Middleton, all great guys.

When you place a kid in that environment that means more for him to be successful and if you give him the information to where he understands the environment he’s going into and what he needs to do and what he needs the role to be, you go into having 2 years guaranteed getting the 3rd year guaranteed, and as you know, you need bad attempts. You can’t hit a home run without it. So allowing him to have that without the pressure. If you go 8 now you got to show improve.

So sometimes it’s not all about the pick. I like to evaluate that for guys situational. Prior to that, I did the same thing for MarJon Beauchamp the year before. But you have to be open minded to it. You have to remember most families want to go the highest because the finances are aligned with it.
