NBA coaches are not allowed to coach these primadonas hard. They are like 3 puppets on the bench. Players hold more power in the nba then coaches, and this is why inferior teams talent-wise like Germany and Lithuania can beat them.

If Jackson Jr is NBA defensive player of the year, that tells you everything you need to know about regular season basketball.

US needs a coach that adapts to what he sees. Kerr thinking you can play small while getting abused on the glass, that only works when you have Curry

They don't have any sniper shooters on the roster in general, they didn't set up their roster that way. I'm generally a fan of either having a volume pick and pop big or an off ball sniper 3PT shooter who runs around just to always keep the defense on their toes and occupied.

US also needs to do some examination on why our 7 footers are lagging so far behind the rest of the world, AD and Bam are basically PFs in international play, we have no true 7 footers that can do what these foreign bigs do in terms of scoring, rebounding and spreading the floor while also being able to pass.

It's a MUCH different experience. Almost all hot reactionary takes, kneejerk proclamations and even pure silliness.

I guess that's what happens though when people are posting while more emotional.

Team, doubt they would plan to guard him with just single defenders, plan a team defense to contain. They won't play though lol

yeah, but I imagine has spent a lot of extra mental energy to win this game

they could get exhausted... Franz was unrecognizable in the 4th quarter

Haliburton, Edwards and Jaren Jackson were allstars this year.

I mean, game threads are a different thing than threads with discussion about topics to begin with, but yeah I do see what you mean if you've been away from here for years.

THey need their A team now. Even more if the other teams bring their A teams, which really didn't happen this WC. It's not easy anymore for USA, even with their best players.

Cam is a sniper, but putting him in such a switch happy defense where he's either getting exposed by a ballhandler or killed in the post/boards by a big meant he was basically unplayable. This loss falls on Kerr to me, he never once tried Kessler and Jackson despite the fact USA was getting destroyed on the glass against frontcourt with real size.
