Best 10 Cs in nba:
Jokic- Serbia
Towns-Dominican Rep
Embiid- Cameroon
Gobert- France
Sabonis- Lithuania
Poeltl - Austria
Vuc- Montenegro
Segun- Turkey
Capella - Swiss

US Cs who are even in conversation for "good" Cs are Ayton, Turner, Allen and Adebayo.

Banchero shouldn't play Cs. Period. Just because he can put some numbers against D level competition doesn't mean he can do that against well organized teams. 40 min means your mistakes & mental errors should be minimal. There is no time to learn on fly, nor there is enough empty possessions to throw away to get repetition from.

I thought Ayton was supposed to play for Bahama team

Yup he is playing there...

Maybe because USA has no funcional bigs?
Who they could have called that would make difference? Jarret Allen and Ayton? That's pretty much it. Adebayo would have same size issues .

It was Canada's problem against Serbia as well, they had to play Olynyk and Powell despite fact one is usless and other is mediocre, but that's all they got as any hope to contain Milutinov. Made no difference. MIlutinov 10 rebounds. Canada's team 22 rebounds

Ayton play for Bahamas.
I don't know, I'm sure there will be bigs wanting to play in the Olympics for USA.

Real big men probably remember how that team treated the best C in the league then ( Dwight ) and thought to themselves not to bother anymore.

Those guys are SF/PF size in FIBA. They will get crushed by the likes if Milutiniv/Theis/Vuc etc.

JJJ i think paired with a big PF like Paolo woyld have been fine instead of a 6'6 PF in Hart

Maybe Davis could play some C, but 2 world cups and USA can't buy center to save it's life.
Turner- couldn't rebound
Plumlee- skilless on offense if he can't dunk
Jackson- poor rebounder, crazy amount of mental & fundamental mistakes that he tries to hide with blockchasing

Time Lord is 6'8 without shoes. He is another player who is more of shotblocker than actually good defender.

And when you lose 4 times in 2 world cups to France ( Gobert), Serbia ( Jokic); Germany ( Thies) & Lithuania ( Velenciunas) it's gets obvious US teams can't defend size.

US gold medal Olympic team had Durant, Lillard, Green and Jrue Holiday and still only beat France in finals by 5 points.

You forgot the "almost Magic player but we got his twin instead " Brook Lopez? Sure maybe a little old but he would have been perfect for the team. Big strong rebound and shoots 3s

Brook is very skilled, his issue has been rebounding but yea, at age of 35, you probably don't want to do stuff in summer but rest.

Good thing he didn't play for Germany. I believe he had the opportunity to play for them.

Reaves isn't that big of an issue in nba because :
1) most wings have no clue how to post up
2) even if they do, most teams don't seek for missmatches to exploit

I know this won’t happen but it would be really cool if the entire squad show up to support Mo, Paolo, and Franz.

They would've had to have left yesterday, just to make it there by game time. That's a long flight.

It would be a great gesture and a bonding moment for the guys.

If it was in Europe or any other place closer, they might have shown up. The Philippines is like 40 hours in a plane round trip.

I said it would be a nice gesture not that they did it. But it would be cool to see them all cheering for each other in person.

Paolo out with an illness (JJJ and Ingram, too), so stay in bed in case you were on the fence.

Canada starts off on an 8-0 run.

USA defensive principles are so poorly adjusted to FIBA rules that it's laughable.

Just defend in drop, don't switch for no reason and box out. It's not rocket science.
