We're using Hicks here on back to back days in a 4 run game? Strange stuff.

9-5 in the jobber stretch.

If we can get to 10-5, it would reach satisfactory levels.

Let's hope the Rangers continue their slide tonight.

Bro where did they find this Maddison Shipman girl? She looks like a Supermodel.

That'll be tough. Fully expecting them to rest half their lineup tomorrow including Davis.

Based on quick research.
She was an elite NCAA softball player at Tennessee (National Player of the Year in 2014).
She also did softball coverage for ESPN and SEC, before deciding to make the jump to baseball and the Jays.

She's not unpleasant to the eyes. She does know how to speak baseball.

There is good and bad to that. More good certainly. Obviously getting to the playoffs is the top priority so we want them to lose, lose, lose.

That being said, finishing as the 3rd wildcard (and facing Minnesota) is much better than the 2nd wildcard (and facing TB or possibly Baltimore), and we could be tied with Seattle after today.

I guess you just need to keep winning and not worry about that other stuff until you officially clinch a playoff spot (if we even do). If we are able to "manage" our position in the last game or two it would be nice. And Seattle's "Tie-breaker" over us could bite them in the ass.

Seattle and Texas have 7 games left against one another starting on the 22nd. having them both behind toronto at that point would be a good thing

Texas scored 2 in the bottom of the sixth to take a lead 2-0.
Oakland has come back immediately in the top of the seventh to tie it up 2-2.

For some reason Nathan Eovaldi only went 2 and one third innings tonight. Not sure if he got hurt. He did give up 5 baserunners but no runs in the stretch. It would seem like a way too quick pull for me.

He struggled in his start earlier this week back from injury, but it would still be a big loss for them if he is indeed hurt,

Hicks is not going to be a Jay next year. I’d use him as much as humanly possible for this next month.

And he threw less than 20 pitches combined in the 2 games. Not like he’s being overused at all

And then the As did As things. Three walks in a row, followed by a wild pitch to give Texas back the lead.

I'd have saved him for the Rangers series in that spot myself, at least until the game got closer than 4 runs.
