Good to see Schröder and Theis arm in arm. They probably dreamed of this moment since they first played together at ten years old.

Congratulations for the first World Champion title to Germany. Without loss to win this tournament, that is hard.

Last world cup final were two teams dragged there by Ricky RUbio and Facundo Campazzo... Congrats Germany.

And the corpse of Scola too. Just 4 years later that same team minus the corpse of Scola can't even qualify despite Campazzo, Brussino and Deck still being in their prime.

I was rooting for Serbia but, as a Euroleague fan, i am looking for the silver lining here: Maybe Germans show some love to basketball now and that would be great for European basketball overall. Greeks, Serbians, Lithuanians, Turkish and Spanish cannot carry the torch by themselves.

Congratulations, German team was the best in this tournament.

Also huge respect to Serbia. Without three of their best players. Great team. Hard to root against Sveti.

Germany deserved to win. Overall, very good and competitive World Cup and final standings seem about right.

Top 15 actually. Somewhere around 14 or 15. The program and structures are professional, but it's really not popular.

Congrats to Germany. They are the only team that didn't drop a single game in the tournament while everyone else dropped at least 2 games. It should also be noted here that Germany was in one of the so-called "groups of death" in the first stage and thus didn't really face any easy opponents. They quite simply earned it. They were proven to be the best team in this World Cup.

Probably the worst 3rd Q in Serbia's tournament. Did them in.

Hopefully this will give it another boost, then. But there's a lot of popular sports to compete with, for sure.
