Anyone else missing from this German roster? Their defense is really something in that they can adjust to the quicker teams (USA, Canada, etc) but has the size if the other team wants to go big...

Hartenstein, Kleber? Of course Serbias misses are on another level, but do not go full AMerican with B team excuse. It is what it is, Last years Serbian team was stacked, didnt even make medal stage, you never know how things would have turned with different variables.

No no, i was wondering how strong they'll be for the Olympics in case they have other major changes in this roster (but why though since they just got the World Cup)

Kleber didn't make the team because he chose to sit out last year. If someone gets injured, I could see him replacing one of the bigs, but I just don't see why they would leave Voigtmann or Thiemann off the team just cause Kleber is an NBA player. They both have more experience in these situations and showed they belong.

As for Hartenstein, he has bee left off teams by design ever since he was a potential youth national player. Apparently, his ego was just too much to deal with.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Lithuania sent their A squad, are you high? Half the team that didnt play would beat Lithuania team in this tournament most likely (Sabonis, Kulboka, Ulanovas, Grignonis, Lekavicius, Echodas, Butkevicius...). Bruh.

you're correct. didn't realize sabonis was missing

Sabonis is not the only key player. Grigonis is by far the best guard of theirs, Ulanovas and Butkevicius are two main SFs, Kulboka potentially could start at PF, and Lekavicius is the only decent back up pg they have on paper. So, potentially, 4 starters are missing and number 1 guy from the bench?

Off topic:
German soccer national team announces they fire the coach in the last seconds of the basketball game. No honor at all. Undignified pricks. Even in a moment like this, they need to be in the spotlight and grab the headlines. **** them.

Hahaha making sure the sport doesn't move from number 14 to number 11 in terms of popularity. That said, to soccer players basketball is about as relevant as women's chess.

Yeah, I saw that while browsing some German web sites (and then some general football sites). It's probably just bad luck and they didn't know, but it's still a pretty disgusting look by the German FA.

Spain send the A squad minus Rubio and Brown

But how many would have made the team? Trae Young said he wanted to go, he just wasnt invited. And you really dont need to reach for Embiid.

I am not arguing that USA has by far the most untapped talent here, but any country can make a list like that, THe relevant are only those who were invited but declined.

canada missed potentially 5 players including the possible nba finals mvp's from last year and the year before. and the player portland is building around after they trade lillard.

Lebron and Curry didn't even play at the last Olympics and they're not young anymore.
Lol at least half of these names are worse than those who didn't medal this morning.

Serbia didn't have Jokić, Micić, Kalinić, Lučić... Bogdanović was only starter that actually played in this tournament. This was a battle of B teams.
