That 2015 team had so much swag. Like they were all so focused on winning and just had this confidence and intensity about them. This team just doesn't feel the same.

It is a shame the 2015 team did not make the World Series. The last two months of the season was unreal with the way the team played, capped off by Bautista's Home Run against Texas. Unfortunately, the team let a game slip away in Kansas City when David Price was pitching, and by some bad defense behind him that game. They were burned by a bad Umpire in the elimination game in the 9th Inning. If they had gotten a win in Game 6, I was pretty confident we would have beaten Cueto and Kansas City in Game 7, and headed to the World Series. I am convinced the Jays would have beaten the Mets in 5 games, just like Kansas City did that year. That is "Baseball" for you, and it is a real shame we experienced a couple of bad breaks against Kansas City, since that team had the potential to end our World Series drought since 1993.

Ughh I keep thinking about that fly ball that was not caught at least once a week during the season. I lived downtown and went to a few games, then atmosphere downtown after those big wins was amazing.

Those **** strike calls on Dioner and Ben Revere infuriate me to this day. Ruined Jose's incredibly clutch 2 homer performance.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Blue Jays postseason probabilities based upon Texas series (other games simulated):
TEX sweeps: 37%
TEX wins 3-1: 59%
Split: 80%
TOR wins 3-1: 97%
TOR sweeps: 99.3%
Let's get the sweep

The difference between winning 2 games or 3 in this series is huge.
Texas wins 2 and they are 1.5 games behind the Jays with the tiebreaker.
Texas win 1 and they are essentially 4.5 games behind us since we hold the tiebreaker, and they need to win one more game than us.
Of course can't discount Texas winning 3 themselves either.

If the Jays can't handle the Rangers--their longtime punching bag--they don't deserve to make the playoffs.

They’ll just beat them in the playoffs. Easy peasy.

Winning at least 3 here will be huge - drops Texas out of range, and keeps Boston from having a chance to make a run at us.
Then it's between Us, Houston, and Seattle.

If the Jays lose tonight, it will not be because of the lineup that was announced. I have no problem with the lineup, and like the fact that Merrifield is on the bench tonight with Belt back in at DH; and Davis Schneider at Second Base. Merrifield has been a below average hitter for nearly 5 weeks now and needed to sit tonight with Belt back in the lineup.

I'm shocked that we benched Whit instead of Davis tonight. This organization is slow to learn, but it seems they are learning.
