Michael Kay is saying that Hal is the one who forced Cashman to call up the kids.
If reports are true that Cashman was unwilling to go with the youth movement and wanted to continue fielding the same failed lineup, but Hal had to override him then there absolutely is zero reason why he should be brought back after this season.
It really is sad how much of a stubborn and toxic person Cashman has become to this organization that he was willing to place his ego above winning. I really hope that Hal finally waking up means that Cashman's days are numbered.
I see zero reason why Cashman should remain with the team after this season wraps up. His roster construction and trades have been horrible, and players are being mishandled. The fact that it took until the bottom fell out for the kids to be called up is basically sabotage.
Hal's loyalty to this guy is asinine. This is a business FFS.
