I feel like there's kind of a trend here.
Danny Green got signed by Philly. Svi Mykhailiuk got signed by a contender. Wood got signed by a team that went to the WCF. Beasley got signed by a contender. Wes Matthews got signed by a playoff team. Dario Saric got signed by a contender. Watanabe signed with a contender - so did Damion Lee. Lindy waters got a 2-way. Joe Ingles signed with Orlando even though he's really old and can barely move up and down the court.
Griffin, Garuba, Warren, Gabriel, Stevens. Diallo, Javonte Green. All still free agents. Oubre, still a free agent. So is Biyombo. The Hernangomez brothers are playing overseas now. John Wall, Justice Winslow, Rudy gay, Jaylen Nowell - all are free agents still.
See the trend? The first group (the guys who got signed) are basically all better shooters than the guys in the second group. Like it or not, it's a shooters league.
Knicks swapped out Toppin for Divencenzo. They got the better shooter.
Celtics swapped Smart for Porzingis. They got the better shooter.
Cavs swapped out Stevens for Strus. They go the better shooter.
It's not just Mazzulla who likes the 3 ball. It's every team.
Suns added like 8 guys to their team and I think like all 8 of them (except for maybe Londale) shot above league average from 3 last season.
Edit: and just like that, another shooter gets signed.
