Re: Kai-Light Reel: The Kai Jones Thread
There is just no way I think he brings more value to this team this year then signing a random Vet like Blake Griffin to be our 3rd center. Hopefully this means we deny his 4th year option. Also, wouldn't even hate moving on him from now.
Same with Bouknight, just move on and admit they were bad picks. It happens.

What kind of friends abandon you in difficult times? I hope everything turns out well for him if he is going through something.
Has that been proven? I saw a post on Twitter where Miles was urging him to turn IG live off saying "love you bro, log off" or something. Sounds like his friends have his back to me.
I hope that is the case.

I have been pretty out on both since midway through last year, summer league pretty much solidified it for me.

Re: Kai-Light Reel: The Kai Jones Thread
I'm higher on Kai than I am Bouknight. Kai needs to be unlocked (if he's unlockable) but Bouk has a terrible attitude so he'll never amount to anything worthwhile. Would not cry if we cut bait on either though, I'd be more excited if we signed Cam Payne or just signed a vet to be part of the bench.

i think its more that their different skill sets?
Kai saying he can do pull up jumpers better than Mark and is more assertive offensively with the ball than Richards. Not saying he's better. I dunno, he should get off social media though. its a cesspool at the best of times and he's not helping.
i hope the "spiritual journey" he's on helps him.

This is about where a strong vet presence would step in and shut this mess down

Kai seems to have a massive ego.
In his teal haired brain, he thinks he's better because he can make 3s or run faster, jump higher...
But yeah, dude needs to get off social media yesterday.
Why is he engaging trolls?

Re: Kai-Light Reel: The Kai Jones Thread
I'm sure players often think they are better then their teammates and do certain things better, etc. But I can't remember the last time a player went out in the open and talked about it. Lol.

Re: Kai-Light Reel: The Kai Jones Thread
Why is this drunken giraffe still wasting a roster spot?
He also lacks self-awareness if he thinks he's anywhere near Williams or Richards level lol.

I was clicking through his Instagram last night when I couldn't sleep and found some trolling comments that he replied to.

Troll says Nick Richards >> You
He says "I'm more assertive with the ball than him I can read myself"

Re: Kai-Light Reel: The Kai Jones Thread
For the record, I just get the impression that Kai is a stupid immature kid living his best life with the millions he's made. He was probably gassed up from the moment he started playing ball, got drafted, and (right or wrong) thinks he's a stud.
Reality is he's probably 2-3 years from never playing in the NBA again because his game hasn't improved at all since being drafted.
How much of that is derivative of him thinking he's a stud and not putting in the necessary work vs him just not being good enough?
We'll never know because we don't have direct access.
My guess is he'd have been better served going to a team with veterans and accountability versus showing up here and hanging out in the Hornets Frat House

This has the screenshot of both of his comments about Mark and nick.
" show me a video of Mark going left pulling up and hitting it, anywhere in college, someone show one"
That was his response to someone saying that Mark was going to get his bum ass off the roster lol.
Mark then replied to Kai's comment with a meme of Kevin hart, with a look on his face that says "what the f***??"
I can't say for certain, I don't know what the Dynamics are between those three centers, but neither of Kai's comments just felt like him having fun and poking at his teammates. It just felt like a dude trying to make himself look better by putting others down, which is never the correct answer.
It's all just so strange

And he was supposed to be the "good kid" of the group that stays out of trouble and works hard.
Turns out his off the court IQ is as bad as his on the court IQ.

Lol wtf
Yeah cut this fool
I'd rather have Javale McGee
Team needs to start making examples, otherwise we're just a beta weak organization
