Yo, can you flick it to me if still free (or if anyone has one)? I've got no interest but my lady friend is keen to get on it.

I can and I have.

MikeIsGood wrote:Not sure about the league mechanic itself - though it seems quite good and I need to go back to it still - but this is my favorite place POE has been in I think. Endgame has been in a great place for several leagues now, but the changes they made to the atlas passive tree this league were just spot-on. Expedition with a single explosion has been a **** BLAST (pun intended). I had no idea what I was missing all this time because I just hated the mechanic. But now that it doesn't slow you down it's been fun exploring logbooks and doing Tujen and Rog rolls. I haven't even done much Sanctum yet because maps have been so fun to run, and that's what I played this league for in the first place.

Just torn on getting back for act 2 of BG3, and it sounds like Starfield has turned out pretty great for my tastes so I'm anxious to give it a look too. There isn't enough time.

Killed the boss at the end of the first Trials of Ascendancy last night and I’m in that treasure room getting ready to open chests and pick my ascendancy stuff…and the game disconnects. I went back and looks like I have to do it over.

Ahhhahahaha holy **** I actually got this to work. God bless the modding maniacs that took the crazy amount of time to do this. Fickell, air-raid, rosters, everything.

I know DB moved on - anyone else who played/is playing Starfield have two-weeks-in thoughts?

Its fun, Skyrim in space. Im like level 25 and really enjoying it. I am just now getting into modding my ship and trying to spec into some gun modding. First bethesda game since Morrowind that i really feel like theres a sense of exploration Skyrim never gave me that vibe at all.

I'm at level 25 and mostly mainlining the core story to get to the end. It's good.

Haven’t played but watched quite a bit. Looks pretty boring to me. Maybe it’s different playing but all of the procedural stuff looks exactly the same. Main story /worlds seem good, combat looks about as Cookie-cutter as you can get (I also dislike how spongy npc’s seem to be), but I’ll probably give it a go when I get home. Definitely seems like if you enjoy the Bethesda formula you’ll like it.

I'm wrapped up with POE for this league I think, so I picked it up. I've pretty much gathered that if you like Bethesda games - which I do - you'll like Starfield, so I'm giving it a whirl before heading back to finish BG3's chapter 2.

I wrapped up chapter 2 last night. There is so much content in this game, I love it. Stays engaging and the story unfolds well.

Starfield is hardly a thought in my subconscious, but may be great for the dead of winter.

Doing my second run through of AC6, has anyone else stuck with it? Weird game, because all the most difficult stuff is towards the beginning. Having a lot more fun with it the second time through, other than some annoying escort missions.

I'm gonna jump back in at some point. I was enjoying it.

I see there was a big patch today.

I’m digging Starfield. Agree with the chorus of “If you like Bethesda games you’ll like it.” It’s Fallout in space. But way more polished than FO4 at launch.

Two things I don’t like. First, I’m one of those people who walks almost everywhere in these Bethesda games. I don’t even take a horse usually. I like wandering and seeing what I discover, and that’s kind of broken in this game with everything split up across a galaxy. It’s inherent, but it’s nonetheless a disappointment for me. That’s not to say all planets should be loaded with curated content endlessly - it just is what it is. World hopping isn’t my favorite.

The second is more surprising to me. I can’t believe how few ways there are to do things so far. Even for Bethesda. I don’t mean true plot or quest options - nothing like BG3 - but even ways to enter buildings. There’s like *one* way to do the quests I’ve done so far.

But itemization rocks. The world has great variety. Gunplay is great for my “I don’t play shooters” standards. Excited to build my own ship. Plot is fine so far too.

Sounds like a worthy addition to the Souls-like genre. Between this and Payday 3 on Game Pass, looks like I can hold off on Mortal Kombat 1 for a bit.

Love seeing that modders have already made starfield 10x better. Leave it to the pros Bethesda. It’s hard being a small indie company

I'm at a point near the end of the main story where I can choose to finish it and start the relatively unique NG+, but instead I think I'm gonna put it away until it gets mod-support some time next year. There's plenty of other stuff to play right now.
