I don't think the Bucks coaching/front office has been completely perfect by any stretch but I also don't think Giannis is being overly fair to the organization right now with some of these comments.

In my head I'm going to spin this as his way of letting it be known he's cool with trading anyone on the roster if the front office thinks they can make the team better.

Maybe, but even he has specific thoughts he wants to make known to the organization, be could easily opt to be doing all of it privately instead of publicly.

Or like what is so hard about just saying "I want to win and I'm confident we're going to do that with this team in Milwaukee"

It's a sneaky way for Simmons to try to increase Mitchell's clout, by grouping him in with two far superior players. They can have Mitchell, he's went from a perennial all-star to strictly PPGZ in the course of a single season.

Didn't Giannis say after winning the title that the way they did it and built it from scratch was the right way to do it? Wouldn't upping and leaving your team to pick your preferred destination go against that? Maybe he just meant it was right for that season :dontknow:

Either way, I'm over the dramatics surrounding his or any other NBA superstar's demands. He'd be lucky to find another organization that would treat his entire family like part of the team. Sure, maybe while he's healthy and playing well they might, but as soon as there's a decline, they'll bail. If he stays in Milwaukee, he pretty much can have it all until he hangs them up.

Journalism of every field is consumed by excerpting to fit a story. No investigation, no follow-up, no critical thinking.

If Giannis wanted to leave, we wouldn't be 'on the clock'. He'd leave.

He's not going to stay through a rebuild. We know this. If that time comes, the Bucks' and Giannis' incentives will largely be aligned.
