Pretty favorable first 5 weeks of the season. Stack the wins up cause I'm not sure ive ever seen a 5 week stretch like they have after the bye.

Pats honoring TB12 their home opener Week 1 with the Birds in town. Perfect opportunity for Philly to take out some frustration from this Boston series.

Never thought of the Pats as a 'Boston team', per se, probably because they haven't been called Boston or played there since the AFL. They just always seemed like a separate entity.

But if the Sixers lose today, I can't imagine that beating up on a bad football team the Eagles already beat in a SB a few months later will mean a thing.

Sloppy game (and field for that matter) from our boys today but a win is a win I guess. With the extra regular season game along with the fact that more teams are bubble wrapping their starters during the preseason, it gave them a chance to shake the rust off. I'd give it another week or so before making a fair assessment of them.

Some of those calls by Srianni were abysmal. Hurts looked bleh as well.

Honestly would bet the Vikings and the points for Thursday. Not feeling good about 3 days rest and Minnesota is gonna be fired up after a close loss today.

You may be correct, but remember that Kirk Cousins is notorious for playing poorly in night games. Let's hope that trend continues Thursday. Also, the crowd should be electric for the home opener which should go in our favor.

You look at some of the disasters other teams (Jets) had this weekend, I'm not feeling as despondent. A win's a win and it's better to have these sorta games early rather than late.

I also had to be reminded we had an ugly win over Detroit last year Week 1. Really puts things into perspective.

Another solid win tonight. Swift was the MVP. Hurts and the offense looked off at times but played well enough to win. The D line was nasty but the secondary got torched throughout much of the game although that's to be expected with all of the injuries.

Cousins got strip sacked, but otherwise torched the Birds. Fortunately the Vikings cannot run the ball nor is their defense very good.

Hurts has been very lackluster so far.

True, but remember Cousins was playing against a backup secondary minus Slay. The LBs and secondary didn't play great, but they made plays when it mattered i.e. the turnovers and Edmunds causing Jefferson to fumble into the end zone near the end of the first half which was a huge momentum changer so I can't complain too much. It sucks Maddox is likely out for the season.

Hurts has struggled but I'm hoping it's more a result of him trying to get acclimated to Brian Johnson as OC along with rust due to the lack of a preseason than it is something inherently wrong with his game. All in all, he needs to be more patient and take what the defense gives him.

3-0. The defense played great tonight even if it was against Baker Mayfield. The running game carried the offense. Hurts struggled again even though he was playing under the weather. The special teams had a good game as well for a change. Next up, the Commanders.
