Lol not really. All the research hasnt been able to turn up a single clip of a fight or an opponent to ever face James Johnson.

He’s the Frank Dux of the MMA. I think his “fights” are karate sparring matches in his dads gym lmfao

a statement that's easily settled, but he'll get beat by the first pro he faces

because here's the deal. pro fighters like to fight and they love the taste of blood. maybe jj is maybe he isn't, but give me the dude who loves the taste of blood and revels in the feel of his fist going through a man's face any day of the week

Go on the contender series and let's see. Bones just gets him on the ground, game over.

I do believe James Johnson is a Black Belt in Karate:

There is footage of Royce White in a MMA fight, how about James Johnson?

Why do we get so many MMA related threads on here? Is it always the same group of people? They're always so defensive and insecure too.

If Ben Simmons had you dead to rights (fwiw I certainly believe he can handle himself there’s that nothingness in his eyes those types you worry about)

More chance of Jon Jones beating him in a game of 1v1 basketball then James Johnson lasting a round

This might be the most delusional statement I’ve ever seen from someone.
We’re talking about a man who has no documented proof of actually being in a professional fight while only holding a black belt in karate (which is literally the least effective martial art when it comes to an MMA fight).

But yes one year of ground training & he’ll be able to beat the greatest MMA fighter of all time …

I can guarantee you that James Johnson would get folded at least once by a player from each decade. Not everybody is gonna respect hearsay about your black belt or mma record, especially with no visual support of your greatness; someone would go balls to the wall and fold him, no doubt.

James Johnson isn't great at his main profession---basketball---and is propped up by people who don't like a segment of black players who they feel are wannabe tough guys or thugs.

I would have my money on Zuck beating this guy. He seems all talk type of guy.

Doesn’t even need to go to the ground. Jones destroys him everywhere.

Even though he has fights on his record there are levels to all of this. Bones can beat whoever he wants.

Where is this confidence coming from?

James Johnson:

Height: 6’7 (w/o shoes)
Reach: 7’0.75
Weight: 240 lbs
Age: 36

Jon Jones:

Height: 6’4
Reach: 7’0.5
Weight: 248 lbs
Age: 36

Jones actually has him in weight. They’re wingspans are effectively the same. They’re the same age. And James Johnson is a few inches taller. You’re not talking about some size/age discrepancy which might theoretically allow him to overcome being at such a skills disadvantage. Johnson has beaten total nobodies in leagues nobody has ever heard of just to have a nice looking MMA record. Put him in the heavyweight division of the UFC or Bellator and even the unranked guys would destroy him. Jon Jones, the greatest fighter of all time, would make him look like he’s never even been in a fight before.

so the answer is obviously no, but had james been a instead of basketball player his whole life, hed likely be one of the best ever. basketball and football guys with less experience than johnson have done very well in MMA.
