Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
If the gap between Lillard and Jrue is Portis + 2029 FRP and whatever spare assets then sure you do it. Having said that I don't love it either. I mean obviously Dame brings more on the table than Jrue. But it comes with giving up every asset to maximize Giannis window, which doesn't get longer with 33 y/o Dame.
I love Dame, but if it comes to making another all in move I would prefer a player that shares Giannis' timeline added to Jrue/Midds core. Maybe it's just me but I think Jrue + LaVine or KAT is better than Dame alone moving forward.

I know Giannis probably puts the kaybash on it because frienship is rare, but it makes way more sense if youre talking fantasy Dame scenarios to make Khris the primary piece from a roster perspective.

Then I think you ship Midds to Orlando, they need a vet like him. Dame and Jrue as your starting guards is pretty drool worthy

Khris is just better than Jrue, and cheaper and on a better contract. I don’t see any roster reason to keep him over Khris in a super unlikely Dame trade.

Find me a move that makes us younger and better to the point where Giannis extends (maybe a deal for IQ?). Dame doesn't make us younger, but he makes us exponentially better in a playoff setting. Trading for Dame shows Giannis we are not **** around. Win the title, then reassess and stock the cupboards.

If we can’t get younger and better, staying the same age and getting better isn’t a bad alternative.

Without Holiday the Bucks dont have a defensive option in the backourt. At this stage, Lillard and Middleton would be such a dumpster fire defensively. Dame makes up for a lot of the things Middleton does on offense.

The problem is that we would be better for the moment, but would basically be out of options once Dame declines. To me, Dame is a "last dance" type of move. A couple years to land one more haymaker and then Giannis is gone either way. We have to get a no doubt, young star next to Giannis if we want him to stay long term. I dont think it's all that complicated to fill out the rest of the roster as long as we have an elite big two. This isn't 37 year old Lebron and can't stay healthy AD. This is pretty much peak Giannis, his new Robin, and hopefully we can develop some talent and get crafty with the rest of the roster. There will always be a couple useful ring chasers out there.
Now, if Giannis has informed management that he wants to be all in immediately and he doesn't think this current team is good enough, that changes things. Then your hands are tied. I would be surprised if that's what he thinks though. I think we get one more year from this core and then an offseason to make a big shift.

“I don't think he's going to sign an extension, it doesn't make sense financially,” Marks said during an appearance on SiriusXM NBA Radio. “I would be concerned based on what happens with Jrue Holiday. I think that's going to be the X-factor, what I'm going to keep an eye on because Holiday is extension eligible starting up I think February 22, potentially could be a free agent next year. What does Milwaukee do with him, if they lose him they're going to be in deep trouble.”

That sounds great, but how on board is Giannis if we fall short again this season with the current group? What if that "no doubt, young star" doesn't become available or we don't have the assets to acquire him if he does? We do get access to a better trade package next offseason, but there is still a real risk of being outbid by teams with more in the war chest.
Now, if you can get Giannis on board with the long plan-- cool. I prefer that route as well, for the record. I just don't think he has the patience, based on my interpretation of his recent comments. If he wants to see action now, getting a real superstar in Dame tells him how serious we are about winning another championship.

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
I’m not afraid about Jrue. Midds set an example for him. He will opt out to resign a cheaper/longer deal next summer. Having Jrue and Midds locked in 60ish money opens a window for a Big 4, which is one more reason I’m not in favour of trading Holiday.
And finally Bucks will have a large expiring next season to make it work. Please focus on Brook + 3 FRPs trades next season for a borderline all star that shares Giannis timeline. That’s the better route IMO to keep Giannis a Buck for life.
Trade now everything for Lillard and you will have a couple of super exciting seasons. And then watch 30 y/o Giannis walk as a free agent with Milwaukee stuck with 35 y/o Dame and Midds and nothing to trade for a younger piece.

Throwing in Allen, Beauchamp, Jackson, the rest of our picks swaps and 2nds, and the trade would still be worth it. We would be a legitimate superteam and the favourites over the suns.

Broken record, I know, but I just can't imagine Dame refusing to play with a player of Giannis's caliber. It ain't South Beach, I get it, but it legit would be the best shot he's ever gotten or will ever get for a ring. A Dame/Giannis duo is the frontrunner, period. Worth it.
Might be case scenario why Giannis is pulling this ish.
I know it seems obvious to move a small out to bring in Dame (another small), but Giannis, Dame and Brook is all the offense we need. I would much rather move Khris so that we can balance out offense/defense.
Trading right after Khris after extending him would be so messed up. We don’t want players to look at us as a scumbag organization.

This post might sound crazy. But you know whats even more crazy? The notion that an 18 year old Nigerian born in Greece who grew up in poverty and came from nothing could become the best player in the league and be sitting on top of the planet.

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
Hypothetical if we did a Dame trade ok. I think Jrue would go to a 3rd team. I did like that ATl, and NYK trade that someone created.
I think another Jrue trade would be to LAL for Hacimura and D.Russell, and maybe a draft pick. We could trade Haci and Russell, and Beaucamp and a draft pick for LaVine and a pg from da Bulls.
For Giannis trade: I like what OKC could offer us.
I think if we trade Giannis, you might as well trade Brook, & Middleton.

It's a great thing if Bucks fans think this notion is crazy. If Bucks fans don't even believe Horsty and Giannis are in cahoots on having Giannis feign interest in leaving in free agency, then it stands to reason that NBA GMs and owners will fall for the ruse as well. The most important aspect of driving up the value of future Bucks 1sts is other teams thinking Giannis might leave.

Why does this whole board continue to oick out bit n pieces of a interview jfc he also said which no one is talking about that as long as the FO has the sane mindset as him in wanting to win chips he could see himself as a buck forever also mentioned he loves milwaukee and would love to retire as a buck. That was part of same interview
