Ridiculous, especially against a guy like Devers who can hit anything up. You literally need to be guarding against exactly that scenario in that spot.

Jays have no RPs to pitch extras either. Such a brutal way to lose on that Swanson pitch.

Schneider now 0 for his last 20. Richards coming up in the 10th, so that is not promising. Hopefully it does not go to Extras.

Cool, so now we gotta go into another 12-13 inning game because we cant score runs leaving our pitching staff completely depleted for the Yankees series. Better hope we can score more than 2 runs on 5 hits per game in that series.

No one hits that pitch that way though. About as bad luck as you can get.

What are you talking about? Devers hits to the opposite field for power all the time.

Throw him two chase pitches in the dirt and be done with him. If he walks, he walks.

I'm talking that pitch in that particular location. I don't care how great of a hitter you are, it was just a crazy home run. It's not about hitting it oppo. It's that particular pitch in that particular location. I mean it's one thing if he caught up to it and pulled it I can see that.

Hit 3 line drives into absolutely brutal luck yesterday. He's fine.

I’ll believe you. But lots of good contact. And also still taking walks. Consistent approach.

If you're throwing a high FB to Devers, you're risking that he is gonna hit the ball out of the park. It's a terrible decision in that game situation given nobody was on base with two strikes.

Jays would be so good if they could find a way to never play half-decent teams.
