Seriously. Riley probably smirks when he hears these rumors because he knows the game better than anyone. At best, I can see him budging by including both Jovic and Jaquez (most rumors have only 1 of them going).

If there are dominos to fall, they are being held up by this Dame trade, which is why I wish Cronin would just do the inevitable already.

Cronin is in over his head here. He’s trying to create a market that doesn’t exist based on emotion. He can’t let Dame “win” but he also probably can’t find a better offer from a team that’s desperate for Dame. I wouldn’t be surprised at this point if Riley plays hardball and keeps one of Jovic or Hernandez. Whereas if Cronin had done this deal early on in the offseason Riley probably would have put Martin into the deal plus those two pieces and whatever you’re getting for Herro.

Yes. Turns out anonymous sources on Twitter aren’t reliable for breaking news. That Ayton for Nurk deal sounds horrible for Phoenix.

Not saying Ainge took a lesser deal but Ainge did say screw it and traded Mitchell to Cavs vs Knicks

Knicks were nickel and diming, Ainge didn’t even call them back. Just made a trade with Celeveland instead. Worked out well for Utah/Ainge.

If true, I’d guess Suns are looking to break down Ayton’s contract for more depth. Nurk plus another $18m give or take to work with.
