Everyone knew that this would be a problem and I thought they would of traded him still due to this.

We don't need this distraction. Find a home for him. We are winning the title this year and we can't be getting off to a rough start with chemistry.

Mannix (I know I know) said there's been rumblings for months about Brogdon being unhappy about the near-trade.

Again, I'd be surprised if he didn't report considering they haven't traded him yet. But his attitude could be a problem for sure

Trade him. If he is upset with us about his injury, if he gets a hangnail in the playoffs he'll probably sit out. And he's going to be injured at some point again this season, it happens to him all too often.

If it's an "invention" of the media fine. The media always seems to have some kind of agenda although I don't know what it would be in this case.

If his camp is actually upset and using the media to telegraph an intention to sit out an exaggerated amount of time for the elbow or any future injuries it might be time to trade him. This wouldn't be the first time (Mil, Indiana) where he's gotten disgruntled.

Obviously the organization would need to get to the bottom of it.

You don't?

It's the slowest time of year for basketball coverage. FIBA World Cup ended a couple weeks ago, but we still have a couple more weeks till training camps open up. The draft and free agency busy period were awhile ago now.

If you cover basketball, it's your job to keep pumping out content regularly. Reporters need clicks, views, likes, engagement in order to get ahead in their career, in order to keep their job.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

The agenda is to get clicks and views.

Brogdon and his camp have been quiet this summer, and members of the Celtics front office have mostly avoided or deflected questions about the Sixth Man of the Year. Something about the situation just feels slightly off.

But the indications I’ve gotten are that the Celtics are not considering trading Brogdon any more than they are considering trading any other player. His sour ending to last year aside, it is worth remembering Brogdon’s value to the Celtics last year. And Smart’s departure figures to only increase his role.

Media day is scheduled for Oct. 2, so there will at least be some clarity then.

We have our new scapegoat when the Cs don’t win the title this season!

I mean what could you realistically get that's better at this point? It not a major concern of mine but it's a concern nonetheless. I'll have to monitor this a lil closer but we need him imo

I just remembered something.

Didn't Brogdon actively want to be traded to the Celtics? (Presumably on a short list of teams, but not just one team long.)

If so, he might indeed be a little annoyed that the Cs tried to send him out as quality trade filler because they liked two other guards better (or three counting Jaylen), all of whom were already on the roster when they made the deal to get him.
Banned temporarily for, among other sins, being "Extremely Deviant".
