I'm sure his contract has an NBA out, which allows him to get out of the contract in the event that an NBA team wants to sign him - especially since an NBA team does have his rights, he's still young and is an NBA caliber player.

With that being said, Yam wouldn't have signed this contract with Fenerbahçe if there was a chance he was coming over to the NBA for this upcoming season - which isn't a surprise - as I mentioned the other day, the only way I could see Yam coming over for this season is if Pritchard gets traded. But Pritchard has not been traded..

Unfortunately, I think people will have to continue to watch from afar. Madar seems like more of a Gollum than an Aragorn to me.

Just a little something I picked up from Hoops Hype feed. No onfo we didn't already know, but at least got a mention.

After signing three centers, Nate Sestina, Georgios Papagiannis, and Sertac Sanli, as well as former Partizan point guard Yam Madar, Fenerbahce has further strengthened their backcourt with the addition of NBA veteran Raul Neto, as the Turkish club officially confirmed. The contract is for one season with an option for a second. Neto has spent the last eight years playing in the NBA, most recently with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He averaged 3.2 points and 1.6 assists across 50 appearances in a reserve role with Cleveland last season. – via EuroHoops.net

27 pts, 5 as vs Czech republic. Clutch shots, great defense (including an incredible block), sharing the rock

Definitely Elvin (if Elves can have buzz cuts).

Can't help but wonder what might have been the outcome if Celtics signed Madar this year, particularly after the Smart trade. My guess is it wouldn't make much difference this year. He looks talented but would take at least a season to get used to the NBA. Also still reminds me of Tony Parker's kid brother that NBA players will pick on.

Fun to watch, though. I bet he would have torn it up in the summer league.

He's still our property. We can't afford him as a bench piece, but eventually PP will leave, Brogdon will get older. Things like that.

Let him develop over there and then come here when he can be a starter.

Mader can force his way to NBA by requesting a tender, and if that doesn't happen, he becomes a free agent. But every time he signs with a team under contract, the one year resets.

I agree with the first paragraph. But not sure if he'll ever be a starter on an title contender.

I do think that eventually (like you said) Pritchard leaves, Brogdon gets older and Madar has developed enough possibly be a backup PG for us.

He's still just 22 yrs old. Once he hits his prime (around age 24-26), he'll probably ask for us to release his draft rights if we're not gonna sign him to a contract.

his shooting stroke continues to look really good, as does his playmaking, and I liked his overall impact due to feistiness/competitiveness when he played a little SL with the Celtics a couple of years ago. Yet: my main memory from then (and he was 19 or 20) was that he could stand to bulk up a bit, and I don't see evidence of that. Could be misguided, but that's my thought: that he's too lithe to be a real NBA player yet. I'll simultaneously hope I'm wrong and that he develops some more, physically:)

Yeah I think it's preseason for some Euro and aussie teams.

Some of these guys didn't get much of an offseason if they just finished playing in the FIBA world cup and now have preseason games lol.

Now let's see if he can knock Davison out of my avatar. Can Madar play for Boston in summer league, or did he already use up his allotment, if any?
