Yeah, I think any team with shooting spread across four positions could be a big problem if the Celtics are set on going double bigs with drop coverage. It’s going to be tough for Horford/Porzingis/Rob Williams to be able to guard the 3-point line well for long stretches in the postseason against those type of teams. This is why my presumption would be the Celtics still have one more move to make this year to maximize this roster to help better match up against those lineups. Giving Joe Mazzulla adequate options to play both big and small when he wants to may be the key to getting this team back to the NBA Finals.

*cough* Lamar Stevens *cough*

*cough* the dude has defended SGA, Brunson, Clarkson, Markanneen, Doncic, Giannis, Brogdon, paul George, very good at closing out on shooters, etc. *cough*
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

And we will still have posters crying to sign him, like last season. Dude is washed, and has been for years.

Which key Stevens guy during his coaching years is thriving most on their new team? And why is the answer Daniel Theis? (Maybe Rozier or Olynyk?)

IT, Kemba, Rondo, ET, Sully, Baynes, Amir, Ainge 1st/2nd round picks… all out of the league now. Some of them aren’t even in their mid-30s yet.

EDIT: I guess it’s still Kyrie but he hasn’t helped a team win anything since he’s left.

Someone who would know and that I can vouch for, said that Brogdon is legitimately pissed at the FO.

It doesn’t mean he will be an issue, I highly doubt that he will be. Just figured I’d pass it along, take it FWIW.

Yeah again I don't think anyone should care so much about his feelings towards that so much, all that matters is if he plays.

We all know his career here will end next year at the latest (barring a title)

It’s olynyk nr 1 for now. Maybe theis comeback season who knows. That covid year campaign of his was still the single best role player season I’ve seen in a while, before the heat series anyway. Theis was a top 15 ? Player in impact stats that year, crazy. I checked; man was 18th in epm

And he's got kids to feed! Lots of kids. Not Cromartie or Rivers level but like 5 or 6 is still a lot of kids.

Basically how I look at it with Brogdon is, sure you can be pissed at the FO for unexpectedly trying to trade you. But holding out, or taking it out on your teammates is a clown move. ****'s a business.

If he is really willing to jeopardize his next contract and do a holdout or take it out on the team with the injury or whatever, just trade him. I'm sure the team would rather hold onto him and use his expiring salary as filler for a big deal next year.

If he's not, great. See you at camp. We all knew Brogdon was never extending with this team, so long-term who cares. It's all about this year

Out of all the guys we signed, I think he has the highest chance of cracking the playoff rotation

Great signing. He can guard. I think there are teams that would cook us from 3 when we're in double big. This gives Joe options.

Really like what Brad got done this summer, even though I'll really miss Marcus.

Wasnt this reported last week? Seems odd too considering he’s a expiring contract and has been traded numerous times already.
