Brogdan can help fill out the depth a bit by packaging him with some of the 7-10 guys.

Do you see us as having a depth issue? I feel like this is the deepest team we've had since the Jays were on rookie deals and Kyrie self-imploded on us and Gordon destroyed his ankle 30 seconds into the season, probably deeper at many positions.

I think the reason people are skiddish on depth is injuries, particularly to some better players (KP, Brogdon, and Timelord.) I "like" the offseason moves but I don't love them yet - not until they do something.
Now, if you get rid of Brogdon all together or his elbow injury is still a problem, they are not really deep at PG, and I'm not thrilled about using Tatum there.
Brad Stevens on fans who want the Celtics to tank: "I don’t think they’ll like me all that much then."

I'm in this optimistic camp as well. And in that case, they presumably have to move Brogdon by July 1 to avoid the 'second apron' in 2024-2025, unless Wyc and Co. decide to be high rollers in defending their title;)
So: yes, still here after February.
Unlikely to still be here next July.

If he's indeed pissed, he's not using the media to make a play out of Boston. Which would lower his trade value. If he's indeed injured, he's mum about it too.
Let everyone speculate. If he gets traded then he gets traded. If he doesn't get traded, hope he shows up and plays like a professional that he is. I know he's not a robot, but whatever beef he has with the FO shouldn't affect his oncourt performance. Too much outside noise will just get in the way of both parties getting what they want.
Brogdon noise has been out there all summer. Brogdon could put an end to the noise with one simple interview. He hasn’t.
Brogdon is a quiet guy who keeps to himself and doesn't seek out attention. I don't even know if he even has any social media accounts. If he does, I'm pretty sure he doesn't really go on them.
The only reason why any of us are even talking about this is because we see these rumors on Twitter. If Malcolm doesn't go on Twitter (certainly possible. Udoka doesn't have Twitter account and neither does Mazzulla. Tatum said he doesn't go on any social media during playoffs..) then he would have no idea that there's any reason for him to do what you're suggesting..
Edit: just checked and Malcolm does have a twitter account but hasn't had any activity on it since december of 2022..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

I'm still wondering where the rebounding and interior defense is going to come from.

We've got shotblockers between Rob, Al, and KP (even through DWhite in there too) and the defensive rebounding was good last year and KP is better than what we had inside last year. We do lack a defensive big-body banger style inside though I agree. Al is our best bet against the Embiid and Jokic types, but those guys are the last 3 MVP award winners for a reason so not many other teams can slow them down either.

People don't wanna admit it but Al is washed. He completely fell apart as a offensive player last year.
You can't play 4 on 5. He really should of been relegated to the bench.

Al Horford, 10 points and 3 assists per game on .631 TS%. Completely washed.

Yeah I think the more nuanced take is that he was out there with Grant, Rob and Smart meaning four of the top 8 rotation guys were way below average in scoring volume.
And the actual guys who could score couldn’t make up that kind of difference at a level above 2nd-3rd (round) of the playoffs.

I don't think he's fully washed, but he should be relegated to the bench and I think he will be. Last year Rob was in and out of the lineup (more out than in) so nobody really to relegate Al there. With Zinger we can. I still think Al holds more value defensively and potentially as an offensive hub than just a scorer though so nowhere near what he was, agreed. Still love Clappy though too and hope he gets that elusive ring.
