Don't forget they all unfollowed him allegedly. It appears Kai is going through some manic episode. Hopefully it's not something worse. I wish him the best, but he shouldn't be on the team anymore.

How is a 6'11" NBA player doing splits from standing on concrete in bare feet weeks before training camp not a concern?

And that's just one example. It's been nonstop insanity for weeks.

If he wasn't missing workouts I might just consider it to all be a ploy to hype his music video.

At best he's always been like this and he's **** annoying to everyone on thespam. And coaches and it explains why he plays like a clueless spaz.

How crazy must someone act out before it becomes something to care about? The Feds do BS raids on people for less on social media.

Yeah I extremely strongly disagree. If "22 year old acted weird on social media" was the standard for FBI raids, they would happen all the damn time all over the place.

No, I don't care if he acts weird on social media as long as he's a good teammate and has a good work ethic.

I 100% don't understand why it would be. In all honesty, it just seems physically impressive. Like are you thinking that was the first time he tried that?

My point exactly. I don't care what he does in his personal time unless he's either being offensive or being a bad teammate. But if either of those happen or he ends up missing time, that's a hard no for me.

A guy that plays 10 games a year shouldn't be causing this much noise off the court, we have enough things to worry about. I would take any future 2nd for him in a heartbeat at this point.

I certainly won't sit here and downplay or defend Kai, he's acting like a straight up lunatic at this point (at least on social media) but I would also take it all with a huge grain of salt. All of the things he's saying are like this Tony Robbins ultra self-hype positivity that most of us don't understand. I'd wait to see what happens with training camp and pre-season first. Of course him going into year 3 and the very realistic chance he has not developed to get consistent NBA mins makes it even more of a concern. It all comes down to how he is in the locker room and on the court though.

Him being a lunatic on social media is one thing, him not showing up for the voluntary workouts in September with the rest of the team is a massive red flag that can't be ignored, especially for a fringe player who is on the bubble of making the team, and most definitely in town.

I can only assume that he sees the writing on the wall for his place on this team and is doing what he can to be traded or cut so that he can play somewhere else. Otherwise I have zero explanation for him not showing up for the voluntary workouts.

Yeah that is probably the most concerning thing of all to be honest, he's a guy that should be there as much as possible. I always thought he was too, but now he seems off the rails. This all started once his grandmother passed away I think. He also didn't play in the FIBA tournament even though he was on the roster. Is it related?

This team needs a full time sports psychologist, Ted Lasso style.

It is hard to see him getting the time he needs to prove he belongs with Clifford as the coach. If he is going to do something to show he belongs though he really should look to take advantage of those 10 games Miles will be out.

Step one is come in to camp and out play JT Thor.

Unfortunate situation all around. His positive attitude was what what made me like him when he was raw and not very good. Well, he is still raw and now acts weird. Would trade him for basically anything at this point.

The social media stuff could be nothing, but you can’t ignore it, if it was your friend or relative I’d hope you would reach out rather than just shrug it off as “only social media”

Like I mentioned before, the crap drawn on the walls is concerning to me as well. It’s truly bizarre.

the selfish part of me is also annoyed he has done it now, if he was silent all offseason, we could offer him as a young "intersting" uber athletic big to Portland.

would be a perfect swing for the fences for a tanking team.

I don’t understand why they don’t just cut him at this point.

It’s not just the wacko behavior he can’t play basketball.

Kai is Bambi on roller skates bad

Sounds like he is as good as gone based on the Rob Boone article.
Kai hasn't been to any of the optional workouts this summer and required workouts start in the next week or so.

I agree 100%. Piss off Bouknight too. Both are massive frauds.
