Superstars usually get their way in the end. Gonna need some new news in our direction to sustain real belief. Seems like this will be another KD situation.

It wouldn’t be the least bit shocking if Portland was just using our name to scare Miami into upping their offer.

I like it for all sides and Suns better win a championship with that roster lol. But Blazers may be pushing for OG which is a huge change in the trade.

I don't see the Suns ending up with OG out of this. Ayton just doesn't have a lot of value around the league. Suns are trying to move him because he is so soft under the basket. I think they would just be happy to get Nurkic, plus help off the bench, which GTJ would be.

I think Blazers need OG in the deal. Grant is 29. OG at 26, is much closer to the age of Portlands core of young players (Scoot, Simons & Sharpe).

Miami doesn't need to increase their offer much if there is no legitimate threat to their deal. Miami also knows they have the intangible advantage, a long time loyal player for Portland made a request.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

If it did not happen fast/quiet to Toronto it’s not going to likely happen. Miami will get him

Lets see if Cronin has a pair of nuts and get the right return for his team long term.

Miami doesn't have an offer to make that can beat OG, Dick, Picks & Filler.

That said, we don't know for sure Masai is even offering above, so who knows what's actually on the table.

The Suns just want off Ayton's contract. Hence, Nurkic for Ayton. That plus any deal around Dick, gets them a nice young core.

I think this has been drawn out so much because the Blazers are not happy with the Heats offer, and they are just trying to condition Dame to the idea of being somewhere else, while also gathering offers.

He would look so weak if he ultimately takes the Heat's original offer. GMs would lose all respect for him. Why jerk everybody around?

Should be a no brainer situation for Portland to take the Raptors deal...

Not only is OG the best player and best asset they'll get but the Raptors draft picks going forward will most likely
be more valuable then the Miami picks with the uncertainty of Dame being happy here. Even if they're worried about
OG not resigning there they can easily flip him for another 2-3 first round picks.

With all the young talent they already have plus all the draft picks they could get plus possibly even getting Gradey Dick
from us they could almost start looking like the next OKC if Scoot develops like Shai.

I mean what's the hold up with Miami? Nikola Jovic? I wouldn't want to trade a future HOF player centered around
a "mystery box". I'd also rather have a 6'8 Gradey Dick on a rookie contract then 6'5 Tyler Herro making big money.

What is the hold up? doing right by Dame? the guy asked to be traded and to one team only hurting the Blazers. At
that point loyalty should be gone plus managements job is to do what's best for the team.

OG is certainly the better player but i don't know if he's the better asset. No team is going to give 2-3 FRPs for OG on an expiring deal with no hope of an extension.

Hence, why MIA is probably in the lead now for Dame.

Just for the record, Toronto can only offer the same 2, frps - 2028 and 2030

I'd argue the opposite is more likely because we (likely) have more to put on the table while Miami does not.

Raps can be patient here. If Portland wants to help out MIA by taking that deal, let them do it. Raps can save their bullets for the next star. No point in bidding against yourself. Raps shouldn't have to add much to beat a Herro+picks offer.

I imagine Masai is playing hardball, Dick and pick and a 2nd rounder. Not Dick and two first rounders and swaps. Starts getting ridiculous.

Heat are in talks with the Nets and they do like Herro, maybe trade Herro to Brooklyn for Clowney, Dinwiddie, 2027 frp. Simmons, Herro, Bridges, Cam, Claxton would be a touch starting 5 (if Ben is back of course)

Heat - Lillard, Nurkic
Brook - Herro
Portland - Clowney, JJJ, Lowry, Dinwiddie, Brook FRP 2027, Heat FRP 2028

Yup, if they want the lesser package, so be it.
