Raptors could have obviously beaten it but why would they? I mean the Raptors have no direction and have made some poor decisions the past 2 years so I would have been fine with acquiring Lillard for the luls, but long term rebuild, no trade was better.

I'm getting sick and tired of this. I'll see what they make of Siakam and OG but after that and things go similar to how it's gone the last year or so, I think it's time to part ways with management and start fresh.

I’m starting to lean this way also. I don’t think Masai has it anymore.

Jimmy sounds salty........

For him to claim tampering after what Miami pulled. Like they weren’t working with Dame on this. He had to be joking.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Negative aspect - League just witnessed Ayton valued higher than OG + Dick

On the Phoenix side, Gambo was right about Ayton for Nurk swap all along:

I'm more annoyed about our lack of direction now. I'm not being sold on internal growth and subbing out Fred for a worst player in Dennis. And just praying Scottie/Trent/Gradey/Achuiwa all progress. Oh and we have OG/Trent/Siakam FA looming over our heads. And we have no pick lmao.

D+ offseason for me lol.

Lillard is 33 this season they’re gonna pay him 46 mill then age 34 its 49 mill
Age 35- 59 million and lastly he’s gonna opt in for 63 million at age 36.

Lillard has missed over 70 games the last 2 years, is getting older and plays no defence. This is a terrible trade

we will see. I see them as the favorites coming out of the East now, better odds if they make some adjustments to the bench i guess.
raf1995 wrote:I just don’t think he has that kind of potential. I think we will regret not trading him for a haul in a few years when he’s a mid-tier starter with nice playmaking and defense and a shaky jumper.

Same. I couldn't care less about not landing Dame. I am still just confused that Masai is willing to go into the season with 3 starters as pending UFAs and you cannot afford all 3 without going into the tax. Make it make sense.

We will lose one of Siakam or OG for nothing.

I would assume that it was more a choice of Dame's than the Blazers.

Trent and Siakam extensions coming...now that the trade talk has settled.

i'm just assuming our assets don't have contracts after this season. OG, GTJ etc.

yes they are good players but they can just walk. too much risk for Portland. Also, maybe they want to keep Jrue to mentor Scoot. if Jrue can pass on his defensive mentality to make Scoot a more complete player, that would be a win.
of course i'm just speculating on why they wanted Jrue but I guess they needed some front court stability as well.
