Perusing the contenders for Jrue teams I think the Clippers would make a ton of sense.

Actually think it would be big for us if Jrue stayed out West. Ironically he's pretty much specifically designed to give Dame trouble.

He knows we tampered due to the information he and his team gained while tampering. Got it.

What a joke of a comment that is

Also, if Jrue ends up in MIA you just know he'll somehow remember how to shoot vs MKE in the playoffs. Really, with his poor shooting and Butlers the fit isn't the greatest there.

Phoenix only getting Nurkic and Allen for Ayton is hilarious.

Bucks must have held out refusing to include Connaughton or Portis, right?

Right but knowing the drama around Ayton there and his contract it makes sense for them to move on. Get a competent replacement for less financial commitment etc.

I love you guys, we just got Dame and I see a bunch of "whew we didn't give up Marjon" posts. I'm guessing Suns wanted Grayson over Marjon because realistically he is a better player. Dude is a 23 year old who put up a grand total of 266 points in his career on 39% shooting.....Like he could take a leap next year but I don't think he is exactly a hot commodity.

Miami still only has garbage to offer. Herro does nothing for the Blazers because they have Scoot/Simmons as their backcourt of the future. I'd think Jrue ends up in Philly, LAC, NO, or OKC (if OKC wants to start consolidating assets).

Insignificant thought, wonder if this opens up AJJ more. Feel his athleticism will be needed more with Dame offering more spacing on offense.

Also, all the good vibes and cognitive dissonance has me thinking Dame's contract is a better fit than Jrue's. They are essentially the same age but Dame is locked in for 4 years. Jrue would be talking extension this fall where you could have been forced to locking him in for 4 more years after this. Paying a premium for a premium player but good medium size length

So…

Brook
Giannis/Portis
Middleton/Pat
Beauchamp/Beasley/Jackson
Dame

Potential playoff rotation.

Since we sent out 2 players and got 1, we now have a roster slot available to sign someone right?

Also, I love that we kept BOTH Portis and Beauchamp.
still learning the game

All going according to plan. Y'all see how much power Giannis yields with his bluffs and how it directly helps the Bucks

To illustrate just how effective Giannis sells the notion he might leave, and I guess how blinded the league is, the talk even after this deal today, is STILL how valuable Milwaukee's future 1sts might be if Giannis bolts. Lol, they still don't get it. Next summer gonna be lit. And that's without mentioning how fun this season gonna be

Even before the trade Pat was the most logical choice to start at the 2. Don't see how this changes anything.

I don’t think he will see the floor much at all, by years end he might not even be on the roster.

FWIW Bucks do have an open spot at the moment, but don't have enough money under the 2nd tax apron to sign a vet like Payne. I think there is room at the moment just for an unsigned rookie. My guess is that they keep the spot open for a while either for the buyout market or just to convert one of their 2 way contracts at some point.

The dream scenario 2 for 1 trade to open a roster spot for Cam Payne has finally happened! :)

Underrated aspect of this trade is I don’t have to watch Grayson Allen in a Bucks uniform again and can go back to hating him
