Riley that snake immediately pivots to central goal **** the Bucks in any way possible.

I thought about that as soon as it came out that the Blazers were trying to reroute him somewhere.

Miami and Philly were my initial thoughts.

One of Woj's follow up tweets specifically said Portland would look to route Jrue to a contender. Really hoping he stays in the West.

Here it is:

Not insignificant here is that we kept the Portland 2nd rounder this year. That is a nice pick.

I mean, this isn’t fair seeing as I don’t think anyone would have thought this is all it would take to get Dame.

Exactly. Let's not act like anybody here thought this deal was on the table.

I'll shut up forever about Horst though.

Even if not for Dame, there were a few of us who said no....you don't trade the future picks unless you get an elite player. Trading a pick in 2029 when Giannis could be gone makes no sense unless it's in a move like this.

During the regular season, I don't know if we are that much better considering likely missed games. But come playoff time, my god what a difference. Just put everyone in bubble wrap, and go into the playoffs as the 8th seed

We had nothing else to prove in the regular season with this core. The playoffs is where we should hopefully see the ultimate payoff.

This is almost as exciting as when we signed Greg Monroe.

So the Bucks get Dame for Jrue, Allen and and FRP. That's a robbery.

And I have no idea what the Suns are thinking. They trade Ayton without getting any draft assets back and Nurkic is a huge downgrade.

I've lived in Portland the last 5 years. I always wanted a Lillard, McCollum and Giannis combo. Having it in Milwaukee is so much sweeter. Championship here we come.

Also all my Portland buddies are a mixed bag on the trade. This town will be dead now that he is gone. Dame was holding the blazers together.

Its actually pretty insane that Horst did not have to get this up. I assumed Portland would want that back, and that Horst would determine its not actually valuable enough to stall this big of a deal. Nice job Jon

I just wanted a competent lead guard to minimize the long stretches of incoherent offense that we tended to fall in to. I love Jrue but he allowed that too often. That ain't happening with Dame.

More Giannis off the ball to make his life easier. Khris goes from a good second option to a great third. And you add a Robin that is an cold blooded sniper and perfect fit with Giannis. This is so amazing.

Why does Portland do this? They just put themselves in NBA purgatory, to good for a top draft pick and not good enough to make the playoffs. Has to be more moves coming from them.

Now do Bobby and marjon for quickley and hartenstein.

Other targets if the aforementioned trade doesn’t work: Caruso, Dort

Watch Jrue end up in Philly.
