How would it possibly be any more tampering than what Miami was already doing? (which I also think was fine) So ridiculous.

Riley that snake immediately pivots to central goal **** the Bucks in any way possible.

I thought about that as soon as it came out that the Blazers were trying to reroute him somewhere.

Miami and Philly were my initial thoughts.

Heard the bulls were very interested in him to hope he goes there can stsy close to milwaukee then

I think Horst did a good job on the value he gave up here, keeping MarJon, AJJ, & the Portland Pick are all good work by him. That said it feels like in 3-4 years when we are judging this trade it'll either look amazing or awful with little in between

Nobody can predict injuries but I don't see how there is any more worry about Dame staying healthy than there would be for Jrue going forward.

I'm not as high on Dame as some around here but I totally get the gamble and I think the Bucks have the type of roster to hide his defense. Should be fun.

Marc Lasry called President Clinton to pull that off!

Can't wait to dig into all the backstory about how this happened -- no matter how many Jimmy tears are involved.

Replace Jrue and Grayson with Dame in the last two postseasons and they win the title both years, right?

jfc Horst somehow held onto that pick too while stripping Portland of their best player in franchise history.

I think Horst did a good job on the value he gave up here, keeping MarJon, AJJ, & the Portland Pick are all good work by him. That said it feels like in 3-4 years when we are judging this trade it'll either look amazing or awful with little in between

I think it's little risk for the Bucks. Jrue is not getting any younger either and he's also up for another extension. Even if he gives the Bucks a discount, it wouldn't help their cap situation much and their room for improvement is still limited. Obviously they're not going to rebuild with Giannis still being in his prime and this trade is exactly what they should shoot for. It improves their chance of winning another championship. When the cost is just a FRP, it's a no-brainer.

I can promise you that Giannis talking about leaving added great "value" to those 28-30 picks.

I would imagine Portland needed to think those picks has more value than they actually do (assuming he re-signs)

I can also promise you that this won't be discussed by anyone.

And I can promise you Giannis will be a Buck through 2030.

Good take. I do think a defensive minded guy like Quickley or Caruso would slot in beautifully if it was possible to find another deal.

Right of course this could go bad if he gets hurt or falls off some cliff quickly. Sure, it could happen. But judging this based at the time of the move there is no way you can blame management if that does happen, it would just be terrible luck. This is a no brainer have to do it move at this point in time.
