Wish we had better backup guards than PP/Brogdon on D. Need Stevens to be at least decent on offense so we can throw him at Giannis for 10-15 minutes. Horford, drink your chocolate milk! We will need you again.

Agreed with most of that but I would think Portis and/or Giannis could be the answer to the question in bold..

Tatum-Porzingis PnR would be unguardable. Giannis can only cover one of those guys. Portis is a negative defender. Bucks still haven't addressed their need for wing defenders. (Crowder doesn't count.) My guess is they put Middleton on Tatum initially. Cs can force a switch or swing to Jaylen who would have a chair (Connaughton or Beasley) guarding him.

Bucks Celtics games are going to be INSANE.

A ton of 135-130 type of games.

I haven't found the graphic I'm looking for but there was a list of players and their true shooting percentage RS vs playoffs, and Jrue was dead last on the list as far as the biggest drop-off. He's been an abysmal postseason shooter/scorer. Despite Giannis and Middleton getting the attention of the defense.

The difference is Jrue Holiday was looked on to be the #2 or #2.5 in Milwaukee. In Boston, Jrue would be option #4 behind Tatum, Brown and Porzingis. I like Holiday because of his defense.

I'm still torn if the Celtics should pursue or not. Trust in Brad Stevens.

He took a lot of ill advised shots and missed them badly last postseason vs Heat. It would have driven this board off a cliff watching that if he was on the C's.

He could slot into smarts role ideally without the smart shot taking ego with our depth chart. And now we have an extra 1st and bulk 2nds to make a deal

Again, he did that arguably as Milwaukee's #2 scorer. Holiday would have a different role in Boston.

In my opinion, they simply did what they had to do in order to try to keep up. I also think Jrue is a pretty big loss that is going to mitigate the inclusion of Dame to some extent. i don't really consider it a huge gamechanger myself but we'll see maybe I'm wrong!

Kudos to the Bucks. This move was 50% about improving the team and 50% freaking out about Giannis leaving.

Giannis and Dame are big names with big games BUT... they have an unproven coach (even more than Mazzulla!), Middleton is semi-washed, and the roster has been reshuffled a bit.

I want to see how they look at All-Star break. Regardless, I'll take the C's over anyone in the East right here and now. Bring it on.

All the rumors going around the last week and very few of them had Dame Lillard going to Milwaukee. Cheers to all those insiders!

Why do we still call them "Tweets" when it's no longer Twitter? Best eXes of the day imo.

The rumored Miami package to the Blazers for Jrue and not Dame would be very funny. At first anyways.

Honestly this has the following two scenarios wriiten all ovet it:

Option 1:

Boston: Holiday
Clippers: Brogdon
Portland: players and picks

Option 2:

Philly: Holiday
Clippers: Harden
Portland: players and picks

My vote is Option 2 as to what I think happens.

Yeah those are definite good options. Not exactly sure what Philly/LAC has to offer but I don’t think it’s much.

Boston could offer its two 2024 firsts without blinking much.

Wait this is possible with just Brogdon+smaller pieces? Does not look like it to me.

Jrue should be on the table if simply for the subplot. Holiday guarding Lillard during Celtics/Bucks playoff series? That's must see TV!

It's not very likely, but Brad has been known to pull some rabbits out of trade hats.
