Hey, I'm not the one trolling other teams threads...I can only imagine what a non-fail from the Blazer front office would look like according to you.

FWIW, I really like the trade for Portland. It basically accomplishes everything that they wanted.

you guys wanted multiple frp's and young talent

instead you got 1 frp six years from now,
a 33 yr old pg,
and an overrated ayton

Dame's cousin said the blazers took a worse deal to spite Dame.

If Holiday's value is anything close to some of the offers on the T&T board we are going to come out of this trade very happy.

Wrong.

1 UFRP - 6 years from now when atheleticism-based Giannis is 34 and Lillard is 39. 2 unprotected pick swaps in the same date range.

Blazers exchanged 33 yr old PGs. The one they received doesn't have any nonsense trade demands and I would expect can net 1-2 FRPs to a few bubble teams.

I'm not sure who is overrating Ayton...but he fits the Blazer age range better than Nurkic. He is young enough to prove that he is worth his contract. Nurkic is not and will only get worse. Shoot, Blazers could flip Ayton for a first if they wanted to. He is an 18/10 guy, afterall.

By my count that's 4-7 picks (3 unprotected) that could be upgrades...all for a team that had no leverage

Are you content with taking back less just to spite Dame and the Heat?

If so… then congrats on your return.

The return right now with Holiday is comparable to the Herro + 2 FRP offer from Miami.

Once we move Jrue there wont be a comparison between the offers.

I am hoping that Cronin comes out and lays what Miami offered on the table.

you'll get max 2-3 frp's for jrue + ayton combined + the 1 frp 6 years from now

that's maybe 4 picks IF and WHEN you have to do the work and go find trading partners

i thought Cronin didn't want to do that, remember? lol

as i said, picks are valuable in this new CBA, and you only got -1- for dame. -1-. Miami was offering multiple lol

Cronin/Jody took less to spite Dame and Miami, thats all.

You do realize that the reason Milwaukee dumped Jrue was because of the comment he made after the playoffs where he said he was retiring after his contract ends. Nobody will give you anything more than 2nd round picks for him for a 1 year rental on a player whos retiring.

What do I care how Lillard or the Heat feel? But FWIW, Lillard's "excited for my next chapter" shows he's not too bummed about not going to play for skeletor in Miami.

You ain't got anything. Who cares what Lillard's cousin seems to think.

I guess I didn't realize this thread was going to devolve into salty Miami fans trying to tell us that the Blazers got hosed because they didn't take their bread crumbs.

Sorry Miami...not interested in Herro or your weak picks.

We’ll see what we get for Jrue, as that’s obviously a huge component on the final evaluation of the value.

But I wont lie, as much as I always said all I cared about was getting the best possible return for Dame, I can’t deny that deep down I feel happiness that the “we wont negotiate against ourselves” Heat’s hubris came back to bite them.

Heat fans pretend like Herro is a better player, talent and fit than Ayton. Lowry is a better trade chip than Holiday. Heat draft compensation is better than Milwaukee's.
Simply put it's hilarious.

But wait - at least Blazers could still have had Nurkic and Nas on this team if we pulled that trade with them

Well, good for them. Better for us. Doesn't seem like it matters much to Lillard, given he's "excited" for his "next chapter".

Bucks basically paid a 2029 FRP + Grayson Allen to upgrade from Jrue to Dame. That's a really good deal for Milwaukee.

Portland couldn't even get the Bucks best prospect Beauchamp in the trade.

Would have never happened under Paul Allen. I feel for ya Blazer fans.
