I do think with holiday's defense and gritty toughness, He would definitely put us over the top.. I would consider giving up two first round picks with malcolm in a three way to get him.

You would have to give up more, Holiday makes a lot.

You're effectively throwing in Horford (doubt they'd want it) or RW3 (more likely) then chuck in that GSW pick and some others.

Yup - it ain't gonna happen.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Cs have never faced this type of guard-forward combo in the playoffs since Kyrie-Lebron (we didn't have Tatum back then).

I'm not sure if this is better or worse than Miami but it's infinitely more funny

Take that Milwaukee!!

And that!: Jordan Schakel shot 100% at the 3pt line with Washington last year. That's like, 63% better than Lillard.

Celtics would have to move Brogdon & RW3 or Brogdon, Horford & Pritchard to get Jrue Holiday. I not good with either of those trades.

The only other way I see a deal happening is if the Celtics trade Brogdon, Pritchard and a player they acquire with the $6.3 TPE for Jrue Holiday but I don't even know if that's legal.

Prlly best case scenario is if Malcolm is the kind of guy who wants to kick ass and take names. Can't blame Brad for looking at all options, but if Brogdon stays this year he should really have a chip on his shoulder. In a good way.

Worked out for the Raptors with their big swing for Kawhi in 2018-19. Worked out for the Lakers with their big swing for Davis in 2019-20. Worked out for the Bucks with their big swing for Holiday in 2020-21.

Porzingis to Celtics OR Dame to Bucks in 2023-24?

The Goddess of Sacrifice and Father Time may be what stops them. Damion will need to adjust his game from his Portland green light days. They won't both be averaging 30 points per game.

Kyrie/KD

KD doesn't have same interior threat or power as Giannis or Lebron. Doesn't drive/roll as much.

Not at all looking at punting a year or two but all of the rest of the top teams outside Denver are super old. League will look very very different in 2/3 years.

Most likely, themselves. People overreact about these things. Will they be good? Of course. They were good before. But to annoint them anything but a contender is just ignorant.

There's still a few swings left in that Celtics bat,
that's the big difference between the two deals.
The Cs got Porzingis for very little.
And there should be one or two Stars available at the Deadline,
for the Celtics to re-maneuver,
if Milwaukee establishes themselves as the clear cut favorites.

It really might come down to who is healthier come playoff time - Dame or Porzingis?

We have not seen Dame play a full NBA season AND play a decent amount of playoff games in the same season since 2019..and he was 28 then. During these upcoming playoffs he'll be 33.

How healthy will Middleton and Lopez be come playoff time? What about Brogdon and Rob?
