As a Blazer fan, congrats on getting Dame. I know many of you are surprised you landed him. We are too. But I'm especially happy that Cryami... err.... Miami didn't get him. I hope you guys are exciting for next year. Win a ring for Dame!!!

I don't know if the Bucks are a better team giving up 2 starters for 1 star. Holiday was the #2 scorer and one of the best defenders in the NBA on the team with the best record in the league last season. In some ways the Bucks gave up more than they received in this trade.

But the fit makes the Bucks much more dangerous in the post season. Who is the Bucks leading scorer? Who gets the ball for a last minute game winner?

The key will be how Lillard impacts the defense. Giannis and Lopez can secure the rim, but Lillard exposes the Bucks on the perimeter. Who will guard star back court players? Do the Bucks have a smaller PJ Tucker type who can guard PGs and SGs? because Lillard can't. Hard to believe that a championship level starter will emerge from the minimum vet acquisitions or 2nd round picks they added in the last few months.

Finally, props to Horst for never giving up and for ownership for spending big for what is likely a two year window.

Jon Horst big-dicking Pat Riley is an all-time baller move. To do this after every other conference competitor made their big offseason moves is just icing. Enjoy panic trading for Terry Rozier you Miami ****.

Dumb. Lillard got what he wanted.

Here's something we can share a laugh about, if the Heat miss the playoffs this coming season which I think there's a very real possibility of they had the 7th best record last year and lost 2 starters. They'll be the 4th EC team in the last 30 years to miss the playoffs after winning the East. The 3 teams that have done it are the 99 Bulls (lost Michael Jordan), 2011 Cavs (lost Lebron James) and 2019 Cavs (lost Lebron James).

The funny part is they got better at center, got a first and two swaps, and will likely get more for Jrue than the Heat would have given them for Dame. Plus, Herro never made any sense for the Blazers because Scott/Simmons is the backcourt now and Herro is paid way too much to be a sixth man on a non-playoff team.

The Blazers core of Scoot/Simmons/Sharpe/Ayton has potential to become real good in a few years plus they can get more future assets when they flip Jrue and when they can flip Grant.

I think they will try all of Pat, Marjon, Beasily, and AJJ. See what sticks.

Some guys are better on the bench and some are better if surrounded by talent so they can focus on their role.

Sort it out during the regular season.

How can you even stomach these clowns? A NBA podcast panel trying to make the Milwaukee Bucks sound like the NBAs version of the Cleveland Browns like we aren’t perennial contenders and 2021 Champs with a top 2 player in the entire league. Is this show based in Miami or something? The bias is so bad.

Genuinely happy for you all. Giannis is my favorite non-Lillard player, stoked to see them together.

Also, **** the Heat lol.

I tried cause watching the South Beach cope is so good, but their show is legitimately unwatchable.

Wasn't LeBatard the guy who said the Celtics and Heat were actually the two teams who've essentially "dominated the East" in the last 5-6 years? Lol, he's a clown.

MVP2110 wrote:This trade is a massive risk and basically will boil down to if Dame can stay healthy or not. The Bucks just went from a great defense and mid offense to an elite offense & a mid defense most likely. One thing is for sure though, my excitement level for the season shot up 1000%

I think Horst did a good job on the value he gave up here, keeping MarJon, AJJ, & the Portland Pick are all good work by him. That said it feels like in 3-4 years when we are judging this trade it'll either look amazing or awful with little in between

Not really. Only thing that could potentially affect them is a season-ending injury. But with two superstars, you can always weather the small injuries. Dame and Giannis could hold it down with Khris alone for one playoff series if need be. This squad has at least one chip in it, guaranteed.

I'm going full optimist and saying Marjon takes a leap and is the 5th starter and AJJ is a menace swiss army knife leading a second unit with Beas, Pat, Jae and Bobby
