There's another tweet saying the Raps had the deal but backed out when Dame said he wanted to go to Miami. Which is dumb, but whatever. I don't believe OG would have been a sticking point here.

9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

While I appreciate the attempt for Dame, I really do.
Still actions speak louder than words, you didn't get Dame, what now?
Zzzzzz...this FO has been all talk for several years now.
But no one from the front office talked lol.

Jrue was a heck of a player for the Bucks.Pretty low maintenance and excellent on D. Perfect for allowing Middleton and Giannis to operate.
I actually don't know if this moves the needle that much for them. Excited to see how Dame fits in there though.

Mikal knows not to give up OG. He isn't just a 3 and D guy. Give him a mob.

We will always have the Dick memes to fall back on.

Have you seen him play? Do you know basketball? He's a reliable 3 point shooter through out his career. He's one of the top defenders in the league. His defensive versatility is UNMATCHED in the league. Nobody can do what he does - He can defend multiple positions effectively- including centers like Jokic, forwards, guards.
He's not a ball handler and that's a good thing.

Jrue was one of the worst offensive players in the league in the playoffs. The drop off was real. Dame is going to be a huge upgrade.

Honestly, we have no one to blame but ourselves after getting embarrassed during the play-in. If we were coming off our 48 win season, our outlook around the league would be vastly different.
Most look at us as a .500 team that lost Fred for nothing and are far from Contending for a championship. It's kind of hard to refute that as our performance on the court needs to do the talking.

Whether we got Dame or not, it's a big year for Masai and Co. They feel they got something with this team and clearly thought coaching was a major reason why we underperformed. We will soon find out

At least we're in these conversations. That's all we can really ask for. We'll hit on one of them eventually.

Let’s see if Dame ever mentions the Raptors when he eventually hits the podcast circuit. Will be interesting to hear from the horse’s mouth how close we were to getting him.
Disappointing to see another day pass by with the Raptors being left in the dust. What’s the point of dressing up at this point? The team has no direction. Either you’re rebuilding or competing in this league. The incrementalist approach has led us no where.

This team is so lost....
Even the rebuild hope with Scottie has alot of question marks being a focal point.

I'm super satisfied. Great trade for Milwaukee, Giannis, and the NBA. A power duo

Not much left to hit. We dont have control of 3 of our top assets in Pascal, OG and Trent. We couldn't even get Lillard because Masai is always greedy and didnt want to give up OG or maybe give up Dick on top of OG. How often do you get the chance to trade for a top star that still has 4 years left on their contract, and have the assets to get it done especially being Toronto, very rare!
This team is done and we should just rebuild. It’s over because Masai has been greedy and had over valued our players the last two trade deadlines, and offseasons.
Just pathetic
