Can't wait to see Dame and Nurk playing in the 2024 NBA Finals though. The dream comes true, oh wait...

Wut? Can't tell if this is a joke. That was part of the Dame deal. No more details to come, it's part of the trade.

Haha no bro I just didn’t thoroughly read the original article and all anyone talked about was dame, jrue and Ayton

Most consider those guys role players so they don't really care, I think Little is underrated somewhat but he sure as **** has problems playing at his best level at all times, he also is very prone to injury so losing him is not the worst.

**** most outside of Portland don't know jack **** about Nassir.

Miami fans are acting like New York Knicks fans from last year. When Utah traded Mitchell to Cleveland instead of New York, every NY Knick fan got on the website and talked about how Utah traded for the worst package possible, just to get back at the New York Knicks. That trade seemed to of worked out good for Utah last year. I love this trade for Portland, Dame going to Milwaukee is great for their franchise as well.

Yep, this deal feels a lot more complete for all sides than the Miami deal ever did.

Dame's agent now saying the Heat did everything they could to get him. When we have reports that Riley made an offer back in July and never changed that offer.

Wow, the Heat going all out trying to get Dame here!

What an incredible effort by Riley to get Dame, he made one offer in July then proceeded to do whatever for the next 3 months.

No way Suns would have pulled this trade I think had they not been so desperate to unload some salary while getting at least somebody able to perform on the court.

I think PHX fans are pretty happy...this saves them a good chunk of money for other contending moves and if they can keep Nurkic healthy and fresh in the POs, then it gives them a bit of extra rebounding, passing and great screen setting.

Plus now they can retire Keon Johnson's jersey as the #GOATSUN

Oh yeah they got their "two-years-away-from-being-two-years-away" guy. It's definitely worth something.

Happy for Dame
Milwaukee fleeced Portland
Portland fleeced Phoenix
Sad for Jimmy

Sums all of this up and it 100% looks like Portland FO spited Miami here, I hope you guys get a new GM soon, because a guy who acts on emotions is not someone you want as a GM.

That may be the test for Blazers fans if Lillard wins a title or two in the next 3-4 seasons.

Some may be happy for Dame and some may think they didn't get enough back for him.

Well as others said he is locked in for 4 years and is 33, if we would have traded him 3 years ago the return would have been massive.

Dame will be one of the highest paid players in the league in his final 2 years and he might be nowhere near the player he is now. If Lillard still looks great at that age this trade looks a lot worse but it's a crap shoot either way.

We also might see this trade as a olive branch to Lillard we sent him to a great situation and playing with Giannis who he is good friends with. Sure he didn't get his #1 option but I bet this was his 2nd or 3rd best choice.

Not really. Nurkic is downgrade of Ayton , Grayson is good but we have bunch guards on our team. In my opinion Nassir would be exchange for picks which Phoenix doesn’t have too much. Keon was cut immediately

So you think Miami should try to trade for Jrue then?

Because your whole board is saying he should never deal with Portland again, lol.

Totally, but I don't know how professional Cronin is, so far his resume:

tank a season
tank a season
promise to build around Dame and don't deliver
trade Dame for a worse deal out of spite

I don't know if Cronin wants to, but I think the Heat might offer 1 FRP + one of their young guys.

Yes, he absolutely traded Dame for a worse deal out of spite after ensuring other guys got where they wanted.

I know it's difficult for you to maybe reflect on whether the Heat just didn't offer what they could've.

You had a superstar who publicly wanted to go only to your team and your team didn't offer all it could. We're familiar here with holding onto young talent and picks rather than trade them for better players (CJ + picks for Jimmy, CJ + picks for PG13).

In the end Portland still traded him to a team he was fine with going to as we see from Marc Spears' report about Goodwin reaching out to the Nets and Milwaukee.

Jrue + a pick + two swaps is better than Herro + two picks, which is the latest reports on what Miami was willing to offer.

For Miami fans who want to come over here and try to derail our trade thread because you're upset Portland didn't acquiesce to Miami, move on. There's no need to personally do your part in lowering concerns about rising sea levels by draining all the salt out of the Atlantic.

Wierd... Cronin, with the additon of Jrue, now has three legit guards in Jrue, Simons and Scoot. What does Miami have again? Oh yeah... Lowry. Air is pretty salty down there in south beach. Which GM is looking like the better of Riley and Cronin through all of this? Good luck Miami fan, getting any other GM in the league to do business with your team after all of this classy behavior by YOUR GM.

All things aside, the Ayton part of the deal was getting done no matter the team.

So essentially the offers comparatively were
Herro and 2 first
vs.
Jrue and a 1st.

Both players most likely get flipped for an additional first. So our offer was 3 first vs. 2 bucks first.

Maybe I’m just a homer, but I don’t understand how Trail Blazers fans are happy about taking a less return and spiting their franchise goat. Portland accepted MIL offer without telling Miami about it to give them a chance to up offer. ......... why spite Dame by not even floating it by the Heat to get a better offer? The entire thing is hilariously bad by Cronin
