Gotta be Beasley by default. He's the biggest winner of this deal, suddenly he's in the starting lineup with 2 (possibly 3) hall of famers?

Marjon might take that starting 2 spot!

Trades are constantly judged in hindsight. Everyone blasted Indiana for trading Paul George for Oladipo & Sabonis but turns out that was a great trade. Everyone loved Brooklyn trading for Harden but that was an awful trade. You can absolutely judge a trade based on the actual results of it

I'm talking as a fan, not what happens. Nothing worse than today "I love that trade" & 4 years later "Horst is a dumbass for making that trade".

I’m not even sure what the negative hindsight view of this trade is in four years? It’s essentially Jrue and a first-round pick five years from now for one of the best offensive point guards ever?

The options were basically run it back or shake things up a little. The risk of Giannis leaving is there either way. Why not take the route that maximizes the title window and garners some good faith?

Not saying it's what happened, but if Giannis was taking shots at Jrue with the family comments after what Jrue and his wife have been through, that's an even worse look.

That i cant believe i was surprised i didnt see jrue during the hiring process if AD that was kinda wierd

My favorite Bucks conspiracy from some random guy on Reddit 3 months ago that is now blowing up: Dame’s “I’ll only play for Miami” stuff was just to crater his value so that the real team he wanted, with the guy he wanted to play next to, could meet it. Dude called the exact trade package as well lol.

The long term risk is real here, and I'm not trying to say it's not worth it but it is there. We gave up control of 3 1sts when Giannis will be in his mid 30s and when Dame & Khris will be pushing 40 if they are still even in the league. Those very well could be premium picks. But if they win another ring it'll be well worth it

This trade is so good it's kind of boring. Like there isn't much to say until May.

Great trade. Don’t know why Phx felt so compelled to help out but that really made things nice for Portland. Getting Ayton and picks plus whatever they get for Jrue is good value. I’m hoping Jrue ends up in the west somewhere.

Don't get Dame without getting Giannis. L&G, John Hammonds.

I theorized this without seeing it( since I'm not on /R.) , albeit it was a lot more recently.

I agree with many of you about Dame bringing it up and Giannis working off ball. But imagine mixing it up. That's a lot of D scheme to plan and work on.

Who’s better Oscar or Dame?

Come on now

I'm not getting the reference but appreciate the reminder about Oscar, can't believe I forgot him.

This is an amazing day.

ontop of that Giannis saying he might leave made the Bucks future picks look enticing, aswell as making the heat pause in going all in thinking they might have a shot at giannis

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
