Most discussed Suns player of all time. Suns almost won their first title with him starting at C.

He will be number one option in Portland. Let's see how it shows in his game and what kind of stats he puts on the board. This is a league of superstars and they should be treated accordingly. Especially if you drafted 1st overall. Even journeyman Markkanen made it to the all stars game when he got responsibility in the offense.

Re: Deandre Ayton appreciation thread
A complete failure, besides that playoff run. It was time for him to go.
He got his money, so for him, a success.

Re: Deandre Ayton appreciation thread
DA is a loser. It was pretty clear he wasn't coming back this season after how he ended up quitting on the team in the Nuggets series.
Now he will very likely end up putting up all star numbers on a Blazers team playing for lotto balls because he's got that sort of talent, but he's a terrible fit for us since you can't trust the guy with the tin heart when theres something actually at stake.

He might be my least favorite Suns player of all time, next to Bledsoe and Morris twins. Good riddance to this loser.
I Dont wanna be here

LOL, number one?
There's Grant, Simons, Henderson before him.

Matching got us Nurkic, Little, and Grayson. That is acceptable for Ayton

But will he? Other than the midrange jumper he can't really create a shot, he probably won't rebound or block more and defenses will focus even more on him than they ever did in PHX.
Most NBA players are not cut out to the number pick and franchise cornerstone. He was one. Maybe this organization did the kid wrong at times but everyone that worked with him is not sad to see him go.
I'm definitely glad I won't go into anymore playoff rounds thinking "they got no answer for DA. He's going to feast."

Yeah thats probably what I'll miss the most - the nicknames.
Glad to have coined five foot eighton on one drunken night where presumably he got blocked by a guard or blew a layup or something like those things he did on occasion.
He certainly was one of the players on the roster.

I bow to you…. Question is
How long before it shows up on a portland thread?

Gotta mark that game on our calendars. Hope the Blazers fans take to nicknaming. Theyve got a library of them to choose from. It was definitely a big coping mechanism for us as our hopes for our #1 pick were evaporayton.

He won't block more obviously. He's been a double digit rebounder every season but he could get more like he did in year 2 if he plays in a faster pace than CP3 did in years 3-5.
You never know how he will do in Portland....Jimmy Butler hated Wiggins (and Towns) mentality, etc, but Wiggins, with his change of scenery, made an all star game. Before that trade he was probably considered a bigger bust than Ayton, just in a worse draft.

I was thinking about it...every time Ayton gets the ball in the paint and doesn't keep it high, Book will for sure swipe very hard to knock it out, and probably instruct others to do so. Will probably try and dunk on him too.
