This just confirms everything I've been saying about Portland the last year or so.
They never wanted to build around Dame and were looking for any reason to get rid of Dame without looking like the bad guys to their fanbase.

Again at the end of the day if Dame was against coming here then yeah you stop talking trade but thinking that you could get Dame without at the very least putting OG in the deal is a hilarious level of delusion.
Shoot your shot I guess. It seems Masai is never serious about any trades that don't involve shovelling more FRPs to the Spurs.

Well wtf do you want us to do? Just sit around and wait?
Have fun with the rumours from these less than credible sources, but keep it in perspective and don't base your entire fan identity on them.
This just isn't the way it's done around here.

I have a feeling both OG and Trent wont be happy with how they were being considered as trade bait for Lillard and probably will not re-sign with us. All this BS from the Raps media mouthpieces about OG not being offered is just them trying to cover their tracks. Just watch we will have to trade both OG and Trent at the deadline, and no one will give us anything of value, even worse than previous deadline offers for our players. Every GM knows both Gary and OG were available for trade for a star. This is going to get messy this year, and I think Masai has just put the nail in his coffin. The sad part is I don’t think any replacement GM will be anything near what Masai use to be for us.

I must say, pretty good fiction writer - well done!

Just a week ago every beat writer was proposing OG in trade proposals and now all of a sudden after the trade they are stating OG was never offered and Masai would never do that. Come on its pretty obvious whats happening with trying to cover their tracks and not ruffle any feathers of their current players. No way in hell they would be considered front runners for the past few weeks if all they were offering was Trent, Gradey and fillers.
Your telling me Trent , Gradey and filler has more value than Herro and 3 picks

It's why I can't ever get mad at players not being loyal to their teams. These teams will backstab you in a heart beat.
Portland really told Dame to sit out games just to go draft his successor. It's a cold cold world out here

But it's always great to have a poster tell other posters what to believe and what to think and what kind of fan to be.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

I hope these rumours of going after Jrue & true. Makes zero sense using future assets to just lock in being mid lol. Does this FO have any clue at all what they're doing moving forward?! Smh lol
