My main takeaway.

And he would have been the hometown kid. Wonder how hard (if) they tried.

This is why I assumed if the Bucks inquired & dealt for Lillard he'd go out. They wanted wings supposedly & he's from Yakima. And they just drafted Scoot.

But hey, we win.

Has any team in any sport done a welcome rally for a newly traded for or free agent signing?? I'm not mad but seems like rallys are more for winning something.

Drew Gooden rolled out the red carpet for us. Only the realgm veterans will get this one.

Word on the blazers board is that if Dame couldn’t get traded to Miami his next preferred option was to return to the blazers.

Doesn’t make me feel great that we were such a distant option, but I hope he fully embraces Milwaukee and ultimately I think he will.

That’s from a much longer bleacher report article. Worth reading the whole thing.

We need Jrue to stay in Portland. Since the trade is official, do they have to wait now to re-route him somewhere?

We'll think about that if it actually happens.

The Bucks are literally the favorite to win it all. Dame has never been in a position like this. He's currently erect.

I just want to reiterate that Dame will very likely have an MVP level season while playing with a guy who has already won 2 MVP's and is in his prime at 28.

The Bucks could very well end up with two guys that end up in the top 5 in MVP voting. Dame has been screwed in that regard due to his lack of team success, but if the Bucks end up with the best record in the league and Giannis and Dame have the type of seasons you'd expect, Dame will be right there.

Also, the way it has otherwise been framed is much more like 'Dame will come back to the Blazers while they continue to explore other options' and the Blazers basically said "Nope." And at that point, Dame said Milwaukee or Brooklyn.

I'd feel just fine. Giannis and Dame are going to be perfect compliments.

Doesn’t Giannis have a Freak Time bell?

Full disclosure I absolutely hate that tagline. I’ve think it’s lazy and….lazy. When I immediately heard the guts on the radio say it I chuckled…Then they fuggin’ ran with it. Creative department day off apparently.
