There are Dame billboards all over town. Love it.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

So is it 4 picks and 4 swaps for 3 years of Jrue and then 4 years of Lillard?

That's awesome. If anyone can snap a photo for us out of towners, that'd be dope.

When I woke up and saw the thread heading I was ecstatic but as I was opening the thread I was kinda bummed a tiny bit about finding out if we traded the only young dudes we had. Maybe they didn't at all rate Marjon and AJJ but damn does it feel good to still have some shot at youth in the rotation.

Doesn’t make me feel great that we were such a distant option, but I hope he fully embraces Milwaukee and ultimately I think he will.

That’s from a much longer bleacher report article. Worth reading the whole thing.

Also, the way it has otherwise been framed is much more like 'Dame will come back to the Blazers while they continue to explore other options' and the Blazers basically said "Nope." And at that point, Dame said Milwaukee or Brooklyn.

I'd feel just fine. Giannis and Dame are going to be perfect compliments.

If that is the case. You can see why Portland felt the HAD to move Dame before their Media Day. You can’t risk that story leaking that he wants to come back but you’re moving on and then having to respond to it while he is still on the roster.

I get why they decided to move on. You’re stuck on the treadmill if he plays and his value declines every year. There is no real path to true contention with him. You want to turn everything over to Scoot and let Sharpe play through his mistakes too. You can get assets for Dame and maybe another top five pick in the next draft. That’s the real path to contention so once Dame asked for a trade, you start the trade process but don’t hamstring yourself by giving him away to Miami.

A tiny snipped from Dam being #68 on the all time list:

It was 2018 and the third-seed Trail Blazers had been swept by the six-seed New Orleans Pelicans in the first round of the playoffs. All series, Lillard was hound by Jrue Holiday and a trapping Pelicans defense. He felt like he had little room to operate, let alone shoot.

He recoiled into seclusion that summer, analyzing his game and vowing to come back better and, more importantly, different....

Basically it goes into detail about him changing his game to a more long range bomber. NOT ONLY do we thank Jrue Holiday for being the piece to bring in Dame, BUT IT WAS JRUE'S D THAT CONVINCED DAME to add those crazy deep shots as part of his regular game!!!

One more cool stat (it might be dated knowing what Curry has been doing since this article came out):

Since he entered the league in 2012, nobody has made more go-ahead field goals in the final minute (35) and nobody has made more 30-foot shots (138).

what's even more impressive to me, like way more, is his 38% rate on 3s from 25 to 29 feet. And he shot, A LOT, of them. 71% of this threes attempted from that range.

this is big guys.

listening to this song Stargirl, the pairing of Lana Del Ray and the Weeknd reminds me of the bucks current situation. Lana Del Ray is, i'm sure, a very talented singer on her own but when you plug her that that gorgeous soundscape, and then have the weeknd rising up at the tail end to serenade us, that's just big time. that's a two trophy song, even if it's merely a short interlude.

The Bleacher Report thing, which was obviously in part supposed to be a not so subtle hit piece on Cronin, really left me with the impression that Goodwin handled this whole thing like an amateur. That's who Heat fans should be pissed at. He just played it all wrong, very much to our benefit luckily.

Underrated Dame Stat: 89.5% career FT shooter

Jrue was stone cold on defense and had some offensive moments in big games, but lord was he inconsistent with FTs. Between Dame, Khris and some Brook we won’t miss many late game (outside of Giannis).

Idk if yall have listened to the latest Simmons pod with Ben Thompson on the Dame trade but my god is he huffing some premium Celtics copium, even by his standards. Happy to report that Ben talked his **** (as he should) and didn’t let Bill get away with all of it lol.

Simmons must not be happy about it since he started the pod with a 20 minute solo monologue about how Dame isn’t as good as we think and that this changes nothing for Boston.

Top o' the Lillard to ya! Unless you're in Australia and then it's like Sunday 4:00 PM or last Wednesday noon. Aussies, we are amigos but your relationship to the calendar is wild.

Ben did good giving him little jabs. Bill is just a crusty old homer.
