Dude is unphased by pressure. I think he has a great perspective on the game. Based on how he has carried himself in his career, you can tell he legitimately believes this and isn't just blowing smoke.

At the highest level in the playoffs, mental toughness is what often separates teams. Jrue was great in that regard because he regularly had horrible games overall but stepped up huge in the final several minutes. It was honestly sometimes bizarre how he transformed from looking like a guy completely lost on the offensive end to someone making key plays under pressure.

The Bucks team overall is very mentally resilient. Now, they add a guy who is as cool as they come.

Dame is definitely better, and that's apart from the fact that Kyrie is a fool.

I had been very underwhelmed by Horst's last 2 years as GM, and as with any trade we obviously don't know what the final result of this will be, but I atleast commend the aggressiveness here. When you have a chance to add a talent like Dame you have to go for it. And to keep AJJ, MarJon, & the Portland pick is great work.

Maybe they can buy the Brewers next.

Bingo. Brewers won their division, will likely get bounced again without winning or even making a WS and then trade at ;east 2 of their 3 top players who will be FA after next season. The Brewers are valued at $1.6 billion (and were purchased for $223 million).

MLB and NBA economics are not apples to apples without a salary cap of course but it's refreshing to have Bucks owners who have made plenty of money on other endeavors and are playing the long game with the Bucks. Emphasizing winning a championship as much as making money (and when you win a championship you make more money). I do appreciate the Brewers have made the playoffs several times (with expanded teams).
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

If this doesn't work out we can always trade Giannis & Dame to OKC for 25 firsts

I think it's important to caveat this with the fact that the Bucks owners are the outliers here and commend them as such. I'd be willing to bet most small market owners wouldn't go anywhere near this level of spending. Whereas I think Mark A basically spends right around what the average owner would in a similar situation.

Has any team in any sport done a welcome rally for a newly traded for or free agent signing?? I'm not mad but seems like rallys are more for winning something.

Miami did it with Shaq and Bosh/LeBron

My kids 70(?) Year old day care teacher knows I'm a Bucks fan (I guess she gets it from me wearing a bucks shirt and hat every day) brought up the trade and rally. Shes the type that doesn't know how to use a phone and spends all day with infansts, so word is definitely getting around town and its pretty cool to see. Like there were times people laughed at me being a Bucks fan and now we are mad about a pep rally people actually are going to attend?

The leading scorers in the NBA over the last four years both play for Milwaukee.

Think it also makes sense specifically for Dame, who was hesitant to leave Portland and hesitant to come here. Show up and show love. Let him know expanding the list was a good decision.

If Horst is one thing, it’s aggressive. Even before he landed a true star here, I felt it was obvious that he was always trying to make the roster better anyway possible.

This is true, too. If Miami threw him a welcome rally, no one would show up until it was half over.

Yeah but what happens when they're not playing Phoenix and he sees Grayson

I just realized I can go back to crapping on Grayson because I'm still bitter about the 2015 National Championship game

I only read the pages where people openly mocked the media. Could you point me to the pages where anyone actually valued what any of the talking heads had to say?
